Zakhm to de diya hai tumne,
Dawa bhi laga dena,
Kuch de na sako tum mujhe,
To fir bas itni si dua dena,
Khush rahun main sada,
Saath rahe bas tera,
Tu hi har haal main,
Chaahe mujhe beintehaa...
(You have already wounded me,
Then make sure you give the medicine too,
Even if you can't give me anything else,
Pray this for me,
Let me be happy always,
And let me have you with me,
And it should be you in every situation,
That live me limitlessly...)

Aaryan watched as the doctor checked Abeni's arm. He was moving it to and fro and folding it on itself. Then he asked her some questions, which she answered calmly. Aaryan wasn't a stranger to such check ups. He was a daredevil and often had such injuries that needed a doctor's attention. He had spent a lot of time in the clinics due to such injuries. But he had always been lucky to avoid anything major.

"Is everything fine Dr. Shetty?" Abeni inquired. Dr. Shetty was their family doctor. He had always been approached by her family for any issues before consulting specialists later on with his recommendations. He knew Abeni since she was born. He smiled at her now.

"It's just a minor sprain on your arm. Nothing that needs major attention. I will give you a spray and medicines in case it pains too much. You will be fine. Avoid putting too much strain on the hand." He instructed her. She nodded attentively. Aaryan thought she must be a model student during her academic career. The doctor now turned towards him. Aaryan stiffened. This kind of attention usually brought too many questions with it and then subsequently, judgements. "Who is this young man?"

"Oh. He was present in the crowd when I fell down and offered to bring me here. Thank you so much Aaryan!" Abeni replied before he could. He looked at her in surprise.

"It's my pleasure." He played along, thankful for avoiding all the queries. Dr. Shetty nodded in approval.

"Well, thank you young man! We need more men like you nowadays. Being kind and helpful is really necessary in today's cutthroat world." Aaryan nodded along with the doctor. Dr. Shetty then turned towards Abeni once more. "Take care beta." She smiled back and bade him a farewell, turning towards the door.

Abeni exited the clinic with Aaryan in tow, after getting her medicines and paying at the cash counter. He watched her as she rolled her sleeve down to cover her now bandaged hand. He had wanted to pay for everything but she had refused politely. Now she stood outside the clinic and was looking around, probably searching for an auto.

"Hey... Thanks for that inside." Aaryan said. Abeni chuckled in amusement.

"Not a fan of lectures?" She inquired cheekily. He smirked.

"Nope."

"To aise kaam karte hi kyun ho jisse lectures mile? (Then why do you do such things which guarantee you a lecture?)." She asked him. He shrugged, expecting her to go on with a lecture.
She just smiled.
