"Aggie!" Emma yelled as she slammed the door to their shared dorm shut behind her. Her hair a frizzy mess, her clothes barely been put back on properly after her swim in the Enchanted lake.
"How could you?" The future queen did not give her friend a moment to respond, Aggie barely had turned around in the chair where she had been sitting behind her desk or Emma had dropped everything she had been carrying, grasped the closest thing she could- which was a lavendel dragon plushie- and was upon Aggie. Repeatedly hitting her on the shoulder with the creature, "why didn't you stop me? I made a fool of myself! In front of everyone! It was horrible! I- I looked-"
Aggie caught Emma's arm before she could hit her again and then with a little smirk she chimed in, "Ridiculous?"
Emma froze mid-movement, eyes growing wider as her friend's words sunk in. Then, her eyes turned to slits and with a new found strength the young woman pulled her wrist out of Aggie's grip and showered her with a new wave of fluffy hits. "Shut! Up!" Aggie couldn't keep her laugh in anymore as she tried to shield herself from her best friend's attack.
"This isn't funny!" Emma exclaimed exaggeratedly while Aggie snatched the dragon plushie from her hands and jumped up, turning so the chair stood between the two friends.
"Yu're tellin' me that? Girl, yu were running after that lass like a headless roaster! I had to do somethin'."
     "That why didn't you?"
"I did!" Aggie yelled back, matching Emma's level of exaggeration. "Why do yu think I told ya to take her for a swim up at the Enchanted lake? I hoped the water would wash off whatever those scumbags had put on yu. And it clearly worked! Right?"
Emma signed as she let herself sinc into the chair Aggie had sat in moments before. "Yes, yes it did..."
Aggie smirked, sitting down on top of the desk in front of Emma, "Sooo?"
"So, what?" Emma questioned, not finding herself capable of thinking very clearly just yet.
"So, thank yu, my dearest and most loyal, bestest of friends for saving my royal ars from marryin' that purple haired she-devil?"
Emma chuckled, "Thank you, Aggie. You really saved my royal behind."
Seemingly pleased by her friend's words, Aggie smiled and petted Emma firmly on her shoulder. "Yu are very welcome. Now, when are we expecting the Royal Guards to take those gowks back to where they came from?"
When there was no immediate response, Aggie's eyes narrowed, focussing on her friend, "Emma?"
Emma hummed in response but avoided eyecontact, staring out of the window while resting her chin on her hand.
"Well... uhm... I haven't sent for the guards, exactly." Still no eyecontact, giving Aggie the feeling the young woman wasn't telling her everything.
"So, lets go? Lets go call the guards, right now. Get it over with?" When Emma did not respond again, Aggie's voice switched to a mix of suspicion and fear. "Why do I have the feelin' yu're not plannin' on calling the guards? Emma, why aren't we calling the guards?"
"Because I have decided to give Mal another chance." Emma mumbled her answer barely loud enough for her friend to hear, but Aggie heard it.
"Yu What!?" This time, Aggie jumped up from the desk, using the same dragon plush to try and hit some sense into her friend. "You fackin' edjit! Why? She spelled yu! They threw away the change you gave 'em! Go send them back to the Isle of the Lost!"
Now it was Emma's turn to grasp at the plushie and pull it away from Aggie. "Because!" She started, finding a bit more power in her voice. "You didn't see her... Mal, she... I think... I saw her sing when she thought she was alone, she sounded so lonely... She sang about not knowing what to do, what was the right path... I want to help her find it. Yes, she spelled me to fall in love with her, but now I'm no longer under the spell, I might be able to use our... closeness, to guide her to a different path, away from the evil ways her mother taught her."
Aggie stared at Emma for a solid minute without blinking. Eventually, she let out a sign, leaning back against the desk again. "Oh Em... You are too good for this world sometimes."
"I'm going to choose to take that as a compliment."
"'Course yu do." Aggie said, shaking her head. "Well, if that's how we're gonna play the game, yu should probably know I might- sort off- have threatened that wee DeVil lad and he might've told his friends 'bout it."
"You what?" Emma couldn't believe her ears. She lifted the arm holding the plush dragon, ready to attack her friend yet again, but Aggie saw it coming and snatched it from her hands before she could.
"Enough already with the fackin' dragon!" With that, she threw the lavender colored thing on Emma's bed, out of reach for both of them..
"Why did you do that?" Emma asked in disbelief, not able to understand why her friend would go out of her way to threaten someone.
"Cuz they clearly did somethin' to yu! And I wanted to know what! So I cornered the lad and tried to get him to tell me."
     "Did it work?"
Aggie huffed, crossing her arms in front of her, "No. He kept insisting he didn't know what I was talkin' about."
"Maybe he didn't. Maybe Mal did this all on her own." One 'you've got to be kidding?' look from Aggie was enough to make Emma drop the idea, "yeah, okay, all of them definitely know about it. But still, threatening people is wrong, Ags. You should apologise to Carlos."
"What? No way. I ain't apologizing to that gowk for calling him out on his bullshit! I was convinced they hurt my best friend, and I was right! They did do somethin' to yu. So yu can forget it, I'm not doin' it."
