Dean made me go to sleep earlier last night. He didn't even let me eat my can of food, and I saw this morning that he ate it. He got really pissy and didn't let me sit around the campfire with everyone else like I do every night. At least I had time to repeat Carl's dad's name until I remembered it. Rick Grimes. When Dean came to the tent, I pretended to be asleep because he'd get mad if I wasn't.

This morning, I woke up because I heard him sneaking out of the tent-- probably to go with Andrea. I hate that I think she knows how he actually acts and still is with him. But that's not the only reason I'm sad today. The people here are taking parts off Glenn's car, and we won't get to drive it. I really wanted to drive it, and now that is another ruined dream.

"I never really knew what my parents' jobs were," Sophia and Carl were walking in front of me through the forest, talking about their parents. We were playing tag earlier, but Carl fell and got embarrassed, so we stopped."What about your parents, Jackie?"

I looked at Sophia before quickly looking at the ground. "Dad was a PE teacher. My mom worked with some boring papers or something," I shrugged. I crouched down when I saw a purple rock. I didn't know rocks could be purple. I rested my chin on my knees because it was comfortable as I examined the rock. It looks good for skipping, but I wouldn't want to lose it.

I quickly looked up when Sophia and Carl screamed and ran past me, running back to the camp and calling for their moms. Did they see one of the dead? I got up and started jogging back to the camp, but I didn't really yell for my mom because I didn't have a mom to yell for. I wish Mom was here because she'd take me to her embrace and scratch my head-- something she did every time I was scared or woke up from a nightmare.

"Go back, Jackie! Back!" The men started running towards where the dead person was, and Shane yelled for me, motioning to where Sophia and Carl were with their moms. I nodded and let them pass before jogging over to the other.

"Were you bitten? Scratched?" Jacqui quickly pulled me by my arm and started examining my body and face.

"No, 'm fine," I shook my head, and Lori, Sophia's mom- I think she's called Carol -and Jacqui sighed in relief. I looked back at the men, who were killing the Stumblebum, but Jacqui cupped my face and turned my head back towards her. "Don't look, don't look."

"I'm not scared," I furrowed my brows and looked down, feeling uncomfortable because she was staring directly into my eyes, but I felt a funny feeling in my chest when she cupped my face like that.

"Doesn't matter," She stood up and hugged me. I let her do so, but I didn't hug her back. I don't know why, I just didn't, but I let her hold me and felt her running her fingers through my hair. She did stop rather quickly. My hair was knotty-- probably because I didn't have a chance to properly brush it because I always used a special hairbrush for my curls. "Let's go. Your hair is becoming a bird nest," Jacqui let go of me, which made me a little bad.

That was the first hug I got in- no, that's the first good hug I got in a while. I took her hand and followed behind her back to the camp. Just when we got to the camp, we heard Daryl Dixon, Merle's brother, yelling out for him. Oh, no. "Merle! Merle! Get yer ass out 'ere!" Jacqui pulled me to the RV because we'd be covered from the sun. "Got us sum' squirrels." He placed his crossbow by the fireplace. "Let's stew 'em up."

"Daryl, just slow up a bit. I need to talk to you," Shane said. I feel very scared for Rick because Daryl might kill him because he locked Merle on the roof. At least that's what I heard.

"'Bout what?" He held onto the rope holding squirrels and looked at Shane.

"'Bout Merle," This is gonna go so bad. "There was a... There was a problem in Atlanta."
