----------------------------------------

It was the last week of August. Evianna ran the brush through her long hair. She looked at herself in the mirror. The light blue eyes looking back at her. Her freckles slightly showing. They ran across her nose and cheeks. Her dark brows frowned. She hated her freckles. She wished she had clearer and more tan skin. Hers was pale and freckled.

She tried not to hate herself when she looked in the mirror, but it was hard. She tried smiling at herself. Her one dimple showing.

A single sunbeam had sneaked through the closed blinds. Landing on her hair. The brown color lit up and got an almost red golden color. It shined further through the room, her eyes following the light beam. Her eyes now on her uniform. The green and silver tie lit up in the dark room.

Her mind wandered off into the colors. At once, the whole room lit up. She opened her eyes quickly and snapped her mind back to reality.

"You should get some more light, Evi, that pale face of yours really needs it."

Evianna sighed, annoyed with the interruption in her daydreaming. It was nice getting a break from reality.

"Gee, thanks, Aunt Grace," She replied

Aunt Grace smiled at her. A smile that could only make one smile back. She had a warm aura surrounding her. It was the same warmness that had taken Evianna in her care when she was only 3 years old.

Evianna didn't remember anything about her parents and had never been shown any pictures.

She sometimes wonders what happened. She knew they died. Thats what she was told, at least. But she didn't know how or where.

As the years went by, she had learned to cope with the fact that she would just never know.

"Evi, it's time to go."

Aunt Grace shooed her down the stairs.

"Do you have your supply list?" She asked, and Evianna grabbed it from the fridge-door.

"Time to go now," she said, and they began their journey to Diagon Alley.
