Aunt Grace met her with a big smile. She waited just outside the old bookstore. Evianna was still a little flustered by the situation she had gotten herself in, but quickly shook it off.

"Look what I got" Aunt Grace excitingly said. A bit too loud as a few curios wizards turned their heads.

"What is it?" Evianna asked as she walked closer.

Aunt Grace handed her a small package. A black box wrapped with a silver lace ending in a bow.

"Happy third year" She said, rushing on her to open it.

Evianna carefully untied the bow and lifted the top of the box. A beautiful ring revealed itself. It was a snake twisting around itself forming a ring. It had a green stone as its eye that shined in the sun.

"Thank you! I mean you didn't have to! Where did you even get this? I mean you shouldn't spend your money like that, it must have been expensive!"

"No worries dear, I didn't spend that much. Only on getting it restored. It was your moms." She said. She got a sad look in her eyes, but quickly exchanged it with a smile. But Evianna noticed it.

"Do you miss her?" She carefully asked.

"Everyday..." Aunt Grace almost whispered. "Now go on! Try it on!" She signaled with her hands for her to go on.

Evianna took out the ring. Admiring it for a bit between her fingers, before putting it on. It fitted perfectly.

Back at the house finally. What a day! She thought to herself. She couldn't quite get over the encounter she had had in the bookstore. What a jerk.

That night the blonde hair and the grey eyes haunted her dreams. And the next morning she was exhausted. She felt as if she hadn't gotten a single minute of sleep. Bad timing since today was the day she would return to Hogwarts.

Her stuff was packed, she did that yesterday. Her uniform hung on the rack attached to the door. She didn't want to change already, she would do it on the train.

She opened up her drawer and picked out an outfit. She ended up in some sweatpants and a black tank top. She might as well feel comfortable during her journey, and she was going to change nevertheless.

She ran the brush through her chocolate colored hair and ran down the stairs. Aunt Grace was up as well and greeted her with some breakfast consisting of toast and eggs.

She looked at the plate. Her stomach turning. She took a few bites. Scrambled up the rest so it looked like she had eaten more than she actually had. She made sure to make her bites really small. Making it seem like she took lots of bites. She knew Aunt Grace was looking.

She sat there for about 10 minutes before she smiled at her concerned aunts look. "I'm full, I need to hurry, thanks for breakfast!" She said while carrying the plate to the trashcan and then the sink.

Then she went upstairs to grab her stuff. She was excited to go back to school. She missed Luna, her best friend.

Luna and Evianna had only just met last year. But it was hard not to immediately like Luna and luckily she wanted to be friends as well. Many people thought of Luna as weird. Sometimes Evianna understood them, but they just didn't know her like she did.

Evianna grabbed her stuff from her room and went downstairs again. Her Aunt helped her carry her suitcases and they began their journey to the train station.

As they arrived Evianna felt the butterflies in her stomach. She was more excited than ever.

With all her stuff now on a trolley the two of them disappeared through the magic wall and soon arrived at the busy platform. The mighty train chooed and Evianna waved goodbye to her dear aunt.

With her luggage she proceeded to get on the train with the rest of the students.

She didn't talk to many of her fellow Slytherin students. She didn't feel like she needed friends. Keeping to herself had worked so far, and she did have Luna now.

She looked through the cabins, hoping to find an empty one. Her eyes ran through each cabin, searching, when at once she froze. Icy eyes, blonde hair and sharp face structure. She didn't know why she froze, a weird feeling began forming in her stomach.

"It's occupied" A cold voice hissed.

The doors was closed right in Eviannas face and she was snapped out of her trance. She huffed, and confused by herself she moved on. Soon finding an empty cabin.

As the train started to move she lifted her luggage above her seat. She got out her favorite book. A dark romance written by a muggle. She never hated muggles. Though she was a pureblood herself she never saw a reason to hate the muggleborned.

As she read she fiddled with her new ring. Occasionally admiring the green stone. But at once the train started to rumble before coming to a sudden stop making her drop the ring on the floor.

She quickly bowed down to pick it up, but when she rose from the floor she felt rather chilly. She went to get an extra sweatshirt from her bag when everything went black. The lights had gone out. She heard screaming from the other cabins, but Evianna just rolled her eyes. The train had probably just broken down or something.

She looked out the window, but she soon regretted doing so. She saw figures in the distance. Dark, flying silhouettes moving around. She felt sad, miserable and cold. The window then started fogging up. She touched it, but immediately got chills. It was frozen. The train was dead silent. She didn't dare to get up and look around. She stayed in her seat, which was good for in that moment a dark figure moved just outside the cabin door.

She froze. Not able to move a single muscle.

The silhouette had long fingers that soon wrapped around the door handle, slowly pulling it down.

Then everything got lit up and the figure was gone. A strong beam of light casted it away. Silence again, only the sound of Eviannas heavy breathing and heartbeat was heard.

The light in the cabin came back on soon after and the train began moving. What was that! She thought. Trying to calm herself down. Taking deep breaths. It felt like her heart was about to burst out her chest. She looked at the window and the frost was gone again.

She pulled herself together and picked up her book. She also made sure to change into her uniform before the train arrived.
