Aura POV

I woke up with my head ringing horribly. I sat up and realized... I'm not in my own room. "... W-where am I?" I managed to exclaim, my throat was burning like hell.

I don't remember a single thing, but i look around and see I'm in some kind of... Hospital bed? I don't know...

A nurse suddenly comes up to me and looks surprised, then she quickly goes to a phone and dials a number, muttering "Patient 208 woke up." Or something like that, i couldn't hear properly since the ringing in my ears was preventing me.

After she finished, walking up to me, she said "You were in a coma for 2 weeks. You came in with a very bad head injury. You fractured your skull, but by now you should have mostly recovered. It's a traumatic injury towards your cranium, so you shouldn't hurt it for the next 2 weeks, or it could become very dangerous towards your health and well-being."

So i can conclude I'm in the hospital. How'd i get here though? "Do you know how I ended up here?" I asked, the nurse thought for a second before answering "You were brought from your school i reckon."

My memory was still foggy, so i couldn't remember anything "Do you know why?" I asked, trying to jog my mind "No, I'm afraid not. We were informed that you feel unconscious in your room, but i don't know where you were to receive such an injury, do you remember what happened?" She responded, by now I've lost hope.

"No, i don't remember anything." I answered "It is nothing unusual to not remember your surroundings before losing consciousness, so don't worry about that." After she spoke that, I wanted to ask something, but she cut me off "We just need to do some inspections, and you're free to go." She informed, and i simply nodded.

•after the tests•

I was discharged from the hospital and sent back to my dorm. The school isn't far from the hospital, so i got there quickly.

When i got in the hall everybody stared at me as if they'd saw a ghost. I wasn't popular, so i just ignored them even if it was bugging me.

I closed my door and plopped on the couch, sighing and massaging my temples. "This is exhausting. What even happened?" I started questioning.

In the middle of my rambling, i suddenly felt thirst "Ugh, I'm thirsty, but I'm so comfy, if my water bottle could just come to m-"

Suddenly, my water bottle started... FLOATING TOWARDS ME?!?! "WHAT?!" I jumped up and exclaimed in distress. Realizing that my hand was put out from my recent pose, i put it down, and yet, the water bottle fell.

Did I do this?

What is going on?

No way I'm doing this!

Am i dreaming!

Yeah! Yeah! I'm probably dreaming!

Wake up! Wake up!

After my small meltdown, i started hitting my head to wake myself up. "Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up!" I started continuously repeating the same words, hoping i would wake up in my bed, but nothing.

"Nothing... This isn't a dream. If it hypothetically was a dream and i couldn't wake up, the sensation of hitting myself repeatedly shouldn't feel this real."

I started freaking out. Like, seriously freaking out.

"This isn't real, this isn't real, this isn't real, this isn't real, this isn't real, this isn't real, this isn't real, it simply can't be!" I started slightly tugging on my hair, which i didn't realize.

Before i knew it, tears were rolling doen my face. "I'm not some 'superhuman' or whatever they call them! There has to be another explanation..." The air felt heavy, but my head light, my lungs were like they were about to explode.

I'm gonna pass out if I keep this up. I then took a deep breath "I'm hyperventilating, i need to calm down..."

I then put my hands out of my hair, realizing i tugged out strands of hair. "Shit..." I looked in horror as my own pieces of hair were in my palms.

Since i was tugging roughly, i checked my scalp, and saw that i was... A bit bloody.

"Well can this day get any wors-"

Someone knocked.

"Of course it can, socializing at this state, well isn't that great?"

I sigh, fixing up my hair, clothes and washing my face, so it's not that obvious that i cried. "Comin-" i was still speaking in that voice you have when crying.

I cleared my throat and said "Coming!"

As I was walking towards the door I realized i didn't invite anybody, so i was a bit puzzled who it could be.

Opening the door and finding... "Zane?!" Was definitely not one of the people I'd expect on my doorstep.
