"What? I refuse to believe this new guy you found off the street has more defense than me." Arthur said. Kuragari sighed.

"First off, he's not some random guy I found on the street. Like I've said, he could kill every last one of you if he really wanted to." Ophis told everyone.

"Oh. Is that so?" Valerie smirked, cracking her knuckles.

"Enough. He's a frontliner just like you guys. Get used to it." Ophis told them. Kuragari sighed and walked off, wishing to not stay around for what Valerie and Arthur were gonna say about him.

"Not so fast, Kuragari. I have a job for you." Ophis smiled.

"Hmm?" Kuragari turned around, wondering what his task was.

"Your task is simple. I want you to graduate." Ophis told him.

"I know your life's rough right now, but if you can graduate, I can move on to the next step of my plan of having you with us full-time. For now, just continue living your normal life." Ophis smiled. Kuragari walked away with Ophis' future plans in mind.

Two years went by. Kuragari had gone on with his life. He'd gone on with his life like Ophis had told him to. But dealing with Arthur, Valerie and Bikou every time he visited the agency was starting to take a toll on him mentally.

"How are you able to dodge bullets? How?! It's scientifically impossible. It's not magically possible either since you're the almost the worst at using magic out of everyone here." Bikou insulted Kuragari as he slapped his face with a pistol.

Not to mention it was near the end of school, meaning that prom was coming up. And he was thinking about just straight up not going. But Reina wasn't going to let that happen.

"Prom is something that only happens once in your life. If you don't have a girl to go with, than I'll go with you." Reina smiled.

"Come on, Reina. Are you trying to embarrass him?" Orcus smiled.

"I'm only joking. If you don't want to go, than you don't have to. All I want you to do is have fun during your last event at school." Reina smiled. Having no idea who to ask out, he would go back to the agency.

"Hey, Kuragari." Kuroka greeted him with a smile.

"Hey." 'Wait...' Kuragari suddenly had an idea. 'Should I ask her to prom?' Kuragari thought to himself. 'She is pretty...' Kuragari added, fantasizing about her a little. 'You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.' Kuragari thought to himself. "Umm... Kuroka, can I ask you something?" Kuragari requested.

"Hmm? That's strange. You're usually more of a listener. Sure, I'll hear you out." Kuroka smiled.

"Cool. Would you... be my date... to pro--" "Is he asking you out to prom?!" Valerie seemingly spawned out of nowhere. "That's hilarious! Why would Kuroka ever, and I mean, EVER, want to be seen with someone like you!" Valerie laughed before wandering off. The ridicule didn't last very long but it lasted long enough to make Kuragari feel like absolute shit.

"So is that a no?" Kuragari sighed with his words audibly shaking. Kuroka put her arms around his neck.

"Sure." Kuroka whispered, accepting his request.

"R-Really?" Kuragari said, sounding surprised at Kuroka agreeing to be his date to prom.

"Yeah. Sounds like fun." Kuroka smiled. "When is it?" Kuroka asked him.

"February 14th." Kuragari told her.

"That's in a week. And on Valentine's Day." Kuroka said to herself out loud. "Sounds like fun. Us together like a couple. Can't wait." Kuroka smiled as she walked off.
