The road was full of crowd ,
People dancing all the way colored in gulaal.
And why they wouldn't enjoy..after all it was the ganesh visarjan.
(the eleventh day of ganesh chaturthi.
Where people finally submerge the idol of lord Ganesh according to the rituals)
Aditi : baap re..! Kaise niklenge yaha se..
Anaya : vo to hum dekhenge lekin sabse pehle apna muh dhak lo.
Koi rang na pheke hum par...
The girls nodded and tied scarfs around their faces.
But meera was unable to do it , she just tucked it around her neck .
"Road cross kaise kare ab.."
The duo stared at the younger one
Anaya : aditi , tu chinta mat kar hum sab sath hai na .
Bas hath mat chodna , thik hai..!
The trio held each other and began to cross the road but moved back immediately as three to four cars crossed their paths .
Meera : mujhe bohot dar lag raha hai..kaise niklenge yaha se..
Anaya was scared herself but still motivated her best friend
"Hojayega yaar..."
The girls immediately covered their ears as the sound of gunshots echoed the area.
They moved closer and looked at each other in fear.
"Ab yeh sab kya hai"
Aditi questioned
Anaya looked at her left and saw many black cars coming their way ,
So many men dressed in black controlling the crowd along with the police.
"Koi politician lagta hai....minister hai shayad.."
The other girls too looked at their left listening to anaya.
Meera : ab..?
Aditi : isse pehle aur kuch ho , hum nikalte hai...
Ya phir kisi se help maangle..?
She asked hesitantly
Anaya : nahi nahi..
Yaha ke log thik nahi hai , aur upar se ladkiyo ko dekhenge to...
She didn't said anything further as they all understood.
The gunshots echoed again along with the people screaming and the loud music ,
There was a white car between all those black cars where all the men in black crowded it.
Four men dressed in white kurta stepped out , joining their hands to the people.
Aditi : kaun hai ye log....
Meera tried to look at them but they all were crowded with their bodyguards and the police.
Anaya : Chauhans...
The other two confusingly turned towards Anaya ,
She continued
"Maine aaj hi headlines pade the
Elections jeetne ke baad to ye US chale gaye aur aaj hi subha India land hue.."
Meera and aditi nodded at her words.
Aditi : ab thodi traffic kam hogayi , jaldi nikalte hai..
The girls held their hand and crossed the road ,
They didn't even realize the cars came near them..
The girls had difficulty so they stopped in between , still holding each other.
Meera looked at her side and saw those men dressed in white kurta,
They all wore black shades ,
Suddenly a constable aarived near and began to push people away to give them the way..
The young man leaned to his car window and observed everything as he was the one who ordered the constable ,
Meera heard his words
"Sab hato re..Vikrant sahab ke orders hai.."
The crowd immediately moved away..
The constable again came back near the ladies
"Aap log jaiye madam.."
The girls started walking again but meera unconsciously looked back at the car crowded with bodyguards ,
Not knowing it was her huge mistake
Locking her eyes with those grey ones...
Which were observing them from the start...
His smirk grew more wide as her scarf slipped away .

"Anaya pahuch gayi na ghar...?"
Aditi nodded at her mother's words
Esha glanced at her daughters
"Kaha tha maine ki mat jao kahi par bhi..."
Aditi : it's okay mumma ab aa to gaye na hum
Esha : haa lekin , agar kuch ho jaata to...
Zamana pehle hi thik nahi hai ,
Acha kisi ne kuch kaha to nahi tum teeno se
She glanced at meera while speaking who was lost in her thoughts,
Aditi : nahi..lekin..aapko pata hai ek constable me hamari help ki...
Aur road par to Itni bheed , chalne ko bhi jagah nahi thi...
Koi....Chauhans aaye hue the..
Esha stopped her acts
"Chauhans...?"
Aditi sipped her coffee and nodded
"Hm..."
Esha looked at both of them
"Kuch kaha to nahi na kisi ne.."
Aditi chuckled
"Koi kya bolega mumma...Humne to unhe dekha bhi nahi.."
Esha sighed in relief and nodded
"Lekin maine dekha hai..."
Meera thought discarding towards her room .
