You'd think that a lesson about The Ancient Tree Morphs would be interesting but somehow Professor Binns manages an unbearable speaking pace, and absolutely NO inflection. As he turns his ghostly pale face towards the mumbling gits in the back of the room, I slide my brand new mini bottle of enchanted ink out of my shabby brown shoulder bag and set it down making almost no sound and begin to pour it into my sparkling purple ink well. As Professor Binns becomes more interested in the sound of his own raspy drowning voice, I furiously begin etching a pixie on my parchment. I tap the ink with my wand and it begins to dance across my paper, totally worth it. I nudge my sleepy friend with my elbow, "Milly!" I whisper. She jolts suddenly awake and flutters her eyes. She leans over my shoulder and peaks at my latest doodle installment. She snorts subtly in amusement and dips her own quill into her regular black ink drawing straight diagonal lines emanating from my twirling pixie. Her stationary lines contrast with the wiggling movements of my curiously spinning creature. We tilt our heads in giggly amusement and I look back up at the professor. He's assigning us homework which means class is almost over so I slide my books and doodles neatly back into my bag and slide to the edge of my seat.

History of Magic was most of Slytherin's last class so everyone is walking a little slower and talking a little louder. "Ugh, that couldn't of been worse." Milly rolls her eyes and imitates Professor Binn's float walking, using her wand as a cane. I laugh snorting, unattractively. I throw my head back and clap my hands together. Eve picks up where Milly left off pretending to be one of the thick headed boys, Crabbe, "Um.. What Professor Binns?" she hunches over like an ape and scratches her head with three fingers. I rest my arm on Eve's shoulder and laugh even louder.

"Ya drop something?" I look behind me to see a flash of platinum blonde hair laughing as he shoves the books out of a first year Gryffindor's arms. The little freckled boy scrambles to pick up all his books and speeds away moisture welling in his eyes. Draco and his goons chortle with laughter and continue swaggering down the hallway. I look on with disgust as I see Draco turn and flash me a wink. Milly nudges me raising her eyebrows and I roll my eyes. as if.

When we reach the common room we all sink into the dark green sofas. I kick my feet up, throw my head back and indulge in a much deserved yawn. We stay up longer than everyone else talking and laughing. When everyone else has gone to bed Eve flashes me a devilish grin and turns to Milly, "So did you see Mickey get some serious action from blondie in the hallway today?" she smirks and I feel a hot rush flood to the apples of my cheeks. I pick up a plush green pillow and throw it at Eve. I turn away and bury my very red face in the palms of my hands. "I'd rather kiss that giant oaf in the back!" I retort. "Sure about that?" Milly says with a wild look in her eyes. "UGH! You guys are helpless! Absolutely helpless!" I get up and storm out of the room, climbing up the stairs loudly enough for them to hear my frustration but not loud enough to wake up the sleepy girls in the dormitories. I hear Milly call, "GOODNIGHT!" up the stairs followed by various snickers and giggling.

I tuck myself in minutes later, as hard as I try my sleepy thoughts immediately drift to a wheat blonde boy with a rather sloppy drawl. Smiling I fall into a deep and dreamy sleep.
