A/N: I hate my writing style so much I want to bite into my blanket.
Anyway thank you if you're still reading this shit. I hope when the original timeline starts my writing will be better 😭.

1ST POV:

Masachika was the one who woke us up the next day. Although he wore a smile, don't think it could deceive me! It was 5 AM in the morning! With a groan, I got up and prepared myself for the training. Sanemi was just as beat as me since we both had to descend and go back up the mountainside yesterday. When we were both ready, Masachika led us out to the same dirt path that led down. I looked at him with a hint of disbelief.

"Don't tell me we are supposed to do this right after we wake up every day."

"To improve your stamina and reaction speed, this is an essential part of the training schedule." He reasoned, but I didn't feel any better. "Hah, this will be easy, the first time was kind of tough, but the second won't be." Sanemi straightened his back in confidence. "Hmm, I wouldn't be so sure, I mean, we are talking about something you will do every day." He slyly smiled, and I understood what he meant.

"He's right Salami, as we improve, this will only get harder and harder each time." He scoffed at me. "Who cares, I'll be even better, so it won't matter." Look at that confidence. 'I hope Tokihime- san will beat some humility in him.' With a sigh, I stretched my legs and did some warm ups. It was not much because Sanemi was impatiently waiting for me. I watched him from the corner of my eye but continued my stretches. "If you can't wait for me, start already. It won't matter if we do it together or not." He raised his nonexistent brow. "And what's the problem if I do, huh?" He glared at me, but Masachika stepped over to him.

"Now, now, you should go, Y/N will follow you right after." He told him while pushing him further away. Soon enough, I finished, but I saw Sanemi still hadn't started, but the two boys were talking to each other. When I stepped closer, they both turned to me. "Okay, you should really start now, or Genji- san will get mad." Masachika told us, and with a wave, he walked back to the house. My E/C hues followed his figure in the distance, then turned to Sanemi. "Let's have a race, what do you say?" He grinned and cracked his knuckles. "I'll beat you, so prepare yourself." With that, we both dashed forward.

Just as I began to run, I was caught by surprise when I saw knives already being thrown at me. 'How do they do this? Unlike yesterday, I didn't hear anything now!' I dodged most of them, but one of the latter ones scratched my right shoulder. While I struggled, Sanemi already passed me. Of course, that didn't last long when another trunk was sent his way. "WHY DO I ALWAYS GET THESE?!" He yelled out and crouched down.

Taking this chance, I overtook him, ignoring the small injury. It was only the beginning, but I felt that slowly I would face myself growing tired from the running and dodging. 'Shit, my stamina is trash.' I might have been stronger than most girls my age, but my stamina was in an awful condition. 'No problem, if I overdo my abilities, then I'll improve. Yes, yes, that's it, ye-' I snapped out of my own reassuring and yelped when I found myself falling down. A hole appeared under me, but because of my momentum, I successfully reached out and grabbed the hole's edge. Looking down, I saw sharp wooden spikes. "WHAT THE HELL!" I pulled myself up just to see Sanemi ahead of me again.

After many struggles, I finally caught up to him. We were going back up, and I was panting heavily but forced myself to sprint to prove Sanemi that I'm not weaker than him. I looked over at him, and he was clearly tired too, which gave me a relief.

As we approached the end of the path, we both panted like crazy. 'You know what? I'm not playing with him.' An idea popped up in my mind, and I moved closer to him. His eyes widened when I tried to make him trip, but he was quick enough to jump away. I "Tsk."- ed and took the chance from that one moment of hesitation from him and sprinted forward.

"HEY, COME BACK HERE!" He was clearly furious at my attempt to cheat, and he tried to grab my shirt's back. Somehow, he actually reached it and pulled me back. Unlucky for him because I hugged him from behind, tackling him to the ground. "Hey, get off me!" He tried to shove me off, but I didn't move an inch. Seeing this, he tried to hit me, but I dodged, and to give him the same treatment, I tried to do the same. He grabbed my fist, and we struggled to hit each other while dodging the strikes from each other.

There is no need to say Masachika heard us and needed to separate us before we would have started going for each other's throats.

After we settled down, it was time to continue. The next training was at the waterfall. We had to stand under it and hold our breath. Lastly, we had to do squats and push ups with rocks on us. By the end of the day we were so tired as we reached our room we already fell asleep.

After 4 days, Tokihime started to teach us how to wield a sword, while we still continued to train our body.

2 more days passed like that, and I was about to go to sleep. Sanemi entered the room and flopped on his futon, immediately falling asleep. 'What a talent.' I thought and tucked myself in.

"..Y/...." I heard a voice not far away from me.

"...Y/N." I finally made my name out of someone calling for me, and I tried to open my eyes. I found myself lying down, facing the night sky that looked beautiful. With a groan I pushed myself up to search for the person who called my name. As I looked up, I was met... with myself?

"You're finally awake." She said and stepped closer, but stopped at a certain distance from me. She had the exact same H/C hair, E/C eyes and S/C tone as me. It was like seeing myself from another person's view.

"Um, who are you?" I asked, confusion lingering in my voice.

"Are you serious? No nothing..." She deadpanned, then shook her head at me. "I'm you, and yes, you are me. We're both Y/N L/N." She said, with a serious look on her face, that told me she was not joking. "Could you please elaborate?" I asked her, since I was in utter confusion about the situation I was in.

"Yes, of course." She took a deep breath and looked up at the stars. "You wondered why you're still here, right? Your, I mean, our soul separated and became two, that's why I'm you, and you're me." I looked over at her in shock. "Am I still dreaming because this isn't funny." I tried to deny what she just said, but she sat down in front of me.

"Because of your soul's many attempts to be here, it separated, and you will remain here until you die. After that, we will be combined again and live our life in our world." My eyes were wide open at this. I was happy, but at the same time, I was not. "Will I ever be able to come here again?" I asked her. She looked at me with concern. "I wouldn't recommend it; your soul could be damaged, and..." She cut herself off, not knowing if she should share it with me.

"Go on, I want to know everything." At my words, she looked a bit sad but obliged. "Do you believe in the parallel universe theory? It exists. The connection you made with this world didn't damage your soul, but it grabbed some little pieces of it, and they stuck in those parallel universes. Luckily, not big parts, but little, tiny pieces."

After that revelation, I gagged at her. "Don't worry, they're not much, some may feel familiarity with you, but that's all. I doubt there would be any problems." After her explanation I let the information sink in. 'That's crazy.'

Suddenly the ground under me shook, and I looked at her. "What's happening?" She smiled and stood up. "It's time you wake up, and don't forget-..." She turned around, showing her back to me.

"-Save them and survive."

The moment she uttered those words I felt myself being shaken awake by someone. "How long do you plan on sleeping, GET UP!" Sanemi roared at me, and I broke free from his hold. "Shut up, I'm awake."

"Yeah of course, I had to shake you for five minutes!" He complained then exited our room, to begin the training. I looked down at myself as I was left behind.

"Save them... huh."
