SHINOBU KOCHO first realized she wanted nothing more than to spend her entire life with you when you'd come to her office and keep her company while she stays awake for unholy hours. She's used to people worrying for her, specifically Aoi who tries to take burdens off her. After the loss of her sister, she enjoyed sticking in her office and drowning in anger as her hand moved without control, her eyes scanning over words and words as she digs her head deeper into the book, it's hard to get her to stop and when you managed to snap her out of it, it was like everything crumbled in her hands. The late hours are usually silent and lonely but then you walk in and it's like she's really never been alone. It'll make her question her own plan of revenge.
The way the clock ticked in the dark room made you feel lonely, although you knew Shinobu was just a couple of rooms away from you, you ached for her gentle touch. You hated to see Shinobu overworking herself to the point you could see the large dark rings under her eyes, there were times where Shinobu would fall asleep in her office. Eventually, you knew you couldn't completely convince her to lay down, so you got up and made her coffee just like the way she likes.
Even when her eyes wouldn't leave the page, you stuck behind her, watching her quickly write down notes and not even glance up at you, her mind only focused on forcing more knowledge into her brain. Your shoulder rubs would be completely ignored and you'll feel the need to cuddle up with her. Knowing no matter how many times you'd plead, she wouldn't budge and just tiredly mutter whiny words, you "gave up" and just tossed her on to your shoulder, forcing her to go to bed with her.
As much as she claims to be dominant and powerful, she's easily handled and she loves to be. Although she exclaims "how immature you're being" and "how you're distracting her from her job for a selfish need", she knows you're just worried for her and she finds herself softening. She knows she can never marry you, she's too devoted to her revenge and the demon slayer core, but she really hopes in one universe, she's living a happy life with you until she grows old.
