Scrubbing down his body as if his entire life depended on it, Jungkook alternated between his face and neck a few times before allowing the warm water from the faucet above him cascade down his body rinsing him clean. He genuinely appreciated how warm the water felt on his sore skin, making him choose to remain underneath it for a longer duration of time.
Eventually turning off the faucet, he stepped out of the shower and grabbed himself a clean towel which he then used to dry off his body before throwing on a pair of black joggers and a white tee.
Casually strolling into the bedroom, he sees Seokjin laying on the bed with the duvet covering almost all of him and only his head peeking out from underneath it. This causes a small smile to form on his lips as he continued towards the vanity where he proceeded to take a seat. "Not asleep yet?" He asked, reaching for the dryer on the top cabinet.
Seokjin was quiet for a few seconds before letting out a snarky response as usual "who's job is it to tuck me in again?" He asked, watching his caregiver plug in the dryer to the power outlet beside him.
This action causes him to pull the duvet off of his body and jump out of bed in one swift motion "Let me help you with that" he offers, excitedly skipping towards Jungkook until he was hovering over the man from behind.
"You don't hav___" Jungkook could barely finish his statement before the boy yanked the device from his grasp and proceeded to narrow the round nozzle to his wet hair.
"I don't have to but I want to, so sit still and let me"
And just like that, a comfortable silence fell upon the duo. The whooshing sound from the dryer being the only noise that filled the bedroom.
After a few minutes, Seokjin switches off the device and tossed it to the side before proceeding to maintain the bangs around Jungkook's forehead, all the while staring at him through the mirror in front of them. "There! Now you look decent again"
A deep chuckle escapes Jungkook as he stood to his feet and turned around to look the boy in the eye "what does that even mean? Are you perhaps insinuating that I looked horrible before?" He questions in a low tone, a tone that came off rather intimidating even though that was the least of his intention.
"Hmm, no?__" Seokjin let's out almost in a questioning manner, taking very slow strides towards the bed. "But for what it's worth though, you really did look horrendous to me the very first time I saw you"
Jungkook could barely believe his ears as he rolled his eyes at the sudden t.m.i. "you don't mean that, instead you were just mad a brat tamer like myself finally made a grand entry into your little cocky world" he bit back, determined to prove that his replies can be just as snarky as that of the boy.
"Ha ha very funny, keep talking to me in that manner and watch your employment get snatched aw__"
"Away from me, yea right!" Jungkook teases with a nonchalant shoulder shrug, mischievously grinning in between.
Realizing that he had been defeated at his own game, Seokjin turned around with so much sass and got on the bed, a deep frown etched on his face as he did. His caregiver was learning way too much from him to the point he was now using his own sarcasm against him. It was completely unacceptable!
"Here" he says, aggressively tapping the empty space beside him, "time to go to bed"
Although Jungkook was certain the words were aimed directly at him, but he still stood rooted in place as if unsure of the entire situation.
"Seokjin, you know I do not really need to sleep here with you right? I mean I have my own bedroom downstairs" he began, trying to the best of his ability to reason with the boy, all the while hoping for a much different response compared to earlier.
