Arc 1 - convergence (ch 8)

(A/N: Sorry this one took so long to come out. I've been away, and decided to lay off of it for a week. It's been hard to get back into a rhythm, that's why this one wasn't released on Monday or Tuesday. However, I'm back now and will try to finish this arc by the end of next week.)

1 Hour later

The air stood still while tea steamed with a clear vapour. 

The tapping of fingers can be heard on the ornate wooden desk, and the chomping of sweets 

from another side of the room. 

Rias sat with a scowl, her eyes closed. 

Cade was sat on one of the large couches with his arms folded, alongside a girl with very pale 

blue hair, tied in a ponytail awkwardly looking around the room next to him.  

"Tea?"

"!"

The girl jumped out of her skin. 

She looked up to Akeno lightly smiling at her. 

"Ah— mmmm...

Sure."

The girl fumbled with her words, making the raven-haired woman small giggle.

Without a word, Akeno walked away and disappeared into the other room. 

"Now..."

Rias slowly opened her eyes, her gaze glaring intensely at the two Demon hunters. 

"Based on what you've told us, it seems that the Hero clan members here are 

currently engaging in a observation mission for this Mio Naruse?"

Cade nodded affirmatively.

"Correct."

"But why Her exactly. What makes her so Important that the Hero clan would stick one of their 

Grunts on her?"

Rias then looked to Koneko, who was chomping down on a packet of sweets. 

"Koneko, did you manage to find anything out about this Girl."

The petite girl pulled a sweet away from her mouth. 

"I know who she is. Typical middle-school girl. Sociable, pretty, academically average. 

Magic grades are unexpectedly poor though for someone who's within our Middle school 

Division."

Rias' eyebrow raised.
