My eyes slowly flutter open because of the distant humming of a tracker. With a groggy mind, I slow sit up in the soft bed and look around the room to fully take in the space. The tiny streaks of sunlight that is already filtering through the sheer curtains gives the room an ethereal appearance. I really like the warm and golden glow look it gives off in here.

Suddenly, my phone starts to ring and interrupt the somewhat peaceful moment. Letting out a low groan, I reach for the device on the nightstand.

"Shit," I mutter when I see the caller ID. Mum. I never called yesterday, only texted that I was fine. Not having time to look at my other messages in the status bar, I quickly accept the call straight away.

I am about to have an earful now...

"Good morning mummy," throwing the warm sheet from my feet, I decide to go out on the balcony for some fresh air while I speak. God knows I'll need it to. Though perhaps concerned, my mother can be a tough woman to handle at times.

"Amelia. Tank God. We were all calling yuh last nite. A wah did happen?" Her voice is filled with concern as it floods the phone's speaker.

Di festival... mi neva carry nuh phone.

I plop on one of the brown bean bags that is near the fancy rail. Goosebumps erect on my skin as a dull pain throb in my heart at her genuine concern. I feel so so so bad that I had them all worried while I was out gallivanting around. I don't know how I forgot, I usually remember to call mum everyday. "Nuttin' mummy. I was at a festival but I had forgotten to carry my phone."

There is a sigh from her end. Here comes di lecture. "Yuh a big wooman and all but please don't do that again. Let someone know where you are. Luk how much bla—"

Getting up from the seat, I go over to the rail and look out into the open field. This place do indeed seem to stretches for miles. It's incredible. In the distance, I spot Luke at the fence. He seems to be in an heated conversation with the woman from yesterday. She's on the outskirts of the property dressed in a flowly flower pastel coloured sleeveless dress with what seems to be a matching bow clipped in the back of her flowly red hair. In her hands, she swindles a basket of seemly goodies. Not too far off a expensive looking white car is parked on the track with the driver's door open.

I guess this explains her snarky and nasty attitude.

I can't see their faces clearly but her demeanor looks to be frustrated as is Luke's. I wonder what they are talking about... As if sensing my presence, the woman looks up briefly. Her eyes grow narrow as she says something to Luke. The man turns almost immediately to face me. Although there's a surprised expression on his face, a small smile tugs at the corner of his lips that seems to ask if everything is okay. He gives me a small wave.

Is he happy to see me even though I seem to be an intruder?

I wave back nervously. Despite the distance his strong, defined features are quite unmistakable. He must have been in the middle of some chore when she approached him at the fence, as evident by the way his white shirt clings to his broad shoulders and the tracker nearby that is running idly.

He's a very handsome man so I see why she's so rude and fussy when he gives me attention. Regardless they really do complement each other, especially standing from this viewpoint.

We barely lock eyes for a second before the redhead, Kimberly, forcefully drags him back into their conversation. He slowly turns back to her as she continues to speak animatedly, the words are lost due to the distant but her hand slice vehemently through the air at seemly every point she makes. She seems really upset.
