Synopsis: your husband is a jujutsu sorcerer which meant he lived his life quite dangerously. as his wife, all you ever wanted for him was for him to be safe. and sometimes your anxieties got the best of you. thankfully, it was always a relieving feeling when your husband returns home to you--even if he's roughed up a little.

Life as a Jujutsu sorcerer's wife was never easy. There were times in your life where everything felt calm and your mind was at peace. But at this moment in time, you really couldn't tell if your mind was peaceful or if it was going crazy.

The house around you was quiet and your body was relaxed but you couldn't stop thinking about your husband, Nanami.

He had quit his job as an overworked and, in your opinion, underpaid salaryman and went back to work as a Jujutsu sorcerer. This morning he had left on a mission and had been gone for quite some time. Per usual, you were worried about him, especially as the time grew longer and longer. Your anxieties were completely justifiable; you were his wife and he was risking his life, after all.

In an attempt to calm your mind, you had set up some mellow music to play and sat down to read a random book you had pulled off of the shelf.

You didn't know how much time had passed since you had sat down to read but it was a decent amount of time before you heard the front door unlock and creak open. You closed the book and stood up slowly; only a few people had a key to your house and of course, those were the people only Nanami trusted the most but sometimes your anxiety got the best of you.

You turned the corner cautiously only to be met with the sight of your husband, who looked like he had been through hell. Blood covered part of his shirt and he was scuffed up pretty badly but luckily the blood was not his own-likely one from a curse.

He was practically leaning against the doorway for support as his body was weak from the mission. "Hey Sweetheart," he rasped out. His voice almost sounded like a whisper.

"Nanami!" You exclaimed, getting up and rushing toward him. You threw your arms around him tightly, not wanting to let go. He let out a grunt on impact and dropped the bag in his left hand so he could wrap it around your waist, the right hand supporting himself against the door. Your lips connected in a passionate, deep kiss and you were practically melting into the warm, familiar feeling.

"I was so worried about you," You said quietly; a tear of relief falling from your eye.

"I'm back now don't worry. I'm safe. I'm home." Nanami reassured you in a gentle tone, moving a messy strand of hair out of your face so he could get a good look at you.

You could feel him straining against the wall, trying to support the both of you even though he was exhausted. So, you stopped hugging him and stepped back a little to relieve some of the pressure. "You must be exhausted," You spoke as your hands found their way onto either side of his face.

"Exhausted would be an understatement, I'm afraid," Nanami replied with dry sarcasm in his tone. But yet he still had a smile on his face-overjoyed to see you.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of you." You assured him, giving him a quick kiss before your hand slid down to his own, leading him towards your bedroom. Nanami sluggishly followed behind you, keeping his grip on your hand firm. You sat him down on the bed, not caring if the sheets got dirty as you needed to change them anyway.

"Stay here," You instructed your husband, about to step away.

"Yes ma'am," Nanami replied, a small chuckle accompanying his words. He was just happy to be home with his beautiful wife.
