Day 3
As the first rays of sunlight streamed through the curtains, Mac stirred from his slumber, the sound of rustling blankets and muffled giggles pulling him from his dreams. Blinking sleepily, he groaned softly, his eyes adjusting to the brightness of the room as he turned his gaze towards the source of the commotion.

There, at the foot of the bed, was Sammy, his younger brother, bouncing up and down with unbridled energy, a mischievous grin plastered across his face.

"Come on, Mac! Wake up, wake up!" Sammy exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement as he tugged at the blankets, urging Mac to rise from his cozy cocoon of warmth.

Rolling over with a groan, Mac rubbed his eyes sleepily, a faint smile playing on his lips as he looked up at his hyperactive sibling. "Okay, okay, I'm up," he mumbled, his voice laced with amusement as he sat up in bed, ruffling Sammy's hair affectionately.

Sammy's grin widened at the response, his excitement bubbling over as he bounced around the room like an eager puppy. "Yes! Let's go, let's go! Grammy said she's making pancakes for breakfast!"

Chuckling at Sammy's enthusiasm, Mac swung his legs over the side of the bed. Mac offerd a piggy back to the kitchen, the promise of a delicious breakfast driving them both forward into the new day.

With Sammy clinging to his back like a pint-sized monkey, Mac made his way into the kitchen, a wide grin spreading across his face at the delicious aroma that greeted them. Grammy's culinary skills never failed to impress, and the sight of golden-brown pancakes, Johnny cakes eggs ans sausages sizzling on the griddle made Mac's stomach growl in anticipation.

"Wow, Grammy, this looks amazing!" Mac exclaimed, his mouth watering at the sight of the mouthwatering spread laid out before them.

Grammy, a warm smile on her face, turned from the stove to greet them, her eyes twinkling with affection as she saw her grandsons enter the kitchen. "Good morning, boys! I hope you're hungry," she said cheerfully, flipping a pancake with practiced ease.

Sammy's eyes widened in delight at the sight of the pancakes, his excitement palpable as he wiggled in Mac's grasp. "Pancakes! I want pancakes!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with eager anticipation.

Laughing at Sammy's enthusiasm, Mac set his younger brother down and ruffled his hair affectionately. "Don't worry, Sammy, we'll get plenty of pancakes," he reassured him, his own mouth watering at the thought of digging into the delicious breakfast.

As everyone gathered around the kitchen, the enticing aroma of freshly cooked breakfast filling the air.

As Grammy poured glasses of Coffee milk for everyone, Mac watched curiously, his brow furrowed in confusion. He had never heard of coffee milk before, and the idea of mixing coffee with milk seemed strange to him.

"What's Coffee milk?" Mac asked, his curiosity piqued as he eyed the creamy beverage in his glass.

Grammy chuckled softly at Mac's question, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Coffee milk is a Rhode Island specialty," she explained, her voice warm and comforting. "It's made by mixing sweet coffee syrup with cold milk, creating a deliciously sweet and creamy drink that's perfect with breakfast, lunch and even dinner."

Mac's interest was piqued as he listened to Grammy's explanation, his skepticism slowly giving way to curiosity. "Sweet coffee syrup?" he repeated, his mind trying to wrap around the concept. "That sounds... interesting."

Grammy nodded, her smile gentle and reassuring. "Trust me, it's delicious," she assured him, pushing a glass of Coffee milk towards him. "Give it a try, you might like it."

With a shrug and a sense of adventure, Mac took a cautious sip of the coffee milk, his taste buds tingling with anticipation. As the sweet, creamy flavor filled his mouth, a smile spread across his face, his initial skepticism giving way to delight.
