As Karan turned to leave the Mahadev temple, his mind wandered, lost in thought. He had been deeply moved by the serene atmosphere and the gentle whispers of the priests' chants.
His feet seemed to move of their own accord, carrying him towards the backside area of the temple, as if drawn by an unseen force.

The warm sunlight cast a golden glow on the temple walls, illuminating the intricate carvings and the vibrant colors of the frescoes.
The air was filled with the sweet scent of incense and the soft chirping of birds, creating a sense of tranquility.

As he approached the stairs leading to the back of the temple, Karan noticed a small, delicate figure lying in a basket.
The basket was gently swaying, as if rocked by an invisible hand. He felt a sudden jolt of surprise and curiosity, his heart skipping a beat.

Karan approached the basket cautiously, his eyes fixed on the tiny form. As he peered into the basket, he saw a newborn baby girl, her tiny hands curled into fists, her eyes closed in slumber.

Karan's heart melted at the sight of the helpless infant. He felt an overwhelming urge to protect and care for her. Without thinking, he gently picked up the baby, cradling her in his arms.
The baby stirred, opening her eyes, and gazing up at Karan with an unblinking stare.

Time seemed to stand still as Karan gazed into the baby's eyes. He felt a deep connection, as if their souls were linked in a way he couldn't understand. The baby's eyes seemed to hold a wisdom beyond her tender age, and Karan felt a sense of awe and wonder.

As Karan gazed into the baby's eyes, he felt an overwhelming urge to communicate with her. He tried to speak, but the baby's unblinking stare seemed to render him speechless. He attempted to whisper sweet nothings, but the baby's tiny ears couldn't comprehend his words.

"Hello, little one," Karan whispered, his voice barely audible. "What's your name? How did you end up here?"

The baby's gaze never wavered, her eyes locked onto Karan's face as if trying to absorb every feature.
"mmm...m...!!" Karan felt a shiver run down his spine as he realized the baby was trying to communicate with him in her own way.
