Harry's journal: Entry 1463 part 1

I can barely contain the joy I feel now. I will have to start this morning. Before she even arrived my sister was the center of all attention in the Burrow. It was a hive of anticipation. And you can bet a lot of confusion. Mostly from Ron.

"I just don't get it," he said, his face stuffed with some of his mum's blueberry muffins. "How come they did not tell ya sooner?"

"Oh Ron for heaven's sake," Hermione walked over to the table with napkins and placed them in front of Ron. "Were you not listening when Harry was explaining last night."

"I was. I just got stuck on the part about the sister." To this we all laughed, finally breaking the uneasy tension that had been lingering.

"Trust me Ron. I am just as freaked out about this as you are." I sat in my chair staring into my cup of milk as if it would evaporate at any moment. "I mean for years I thought I had no real blood family, except the Dursleys and now a whole sister it's... it's"

"Unreal?" Fred finished for me as he and George tumbled into the room.

"Yeah." I looked up to them all. "I mean, how am I supposed to act? What does she know about me? Why could I not have seen her yesterday?"

They stared at me like for once in their whole lives they did not know the answers. Then I realized that was because they didn't. None of them knew what to do. I was in uncharted waters for all of us. Not even Hermione's book could give me a clue.

"Harry," I turned to Ginny. Her red hair floated in the breeze that was coming from the window. "The point is not if you know what to do or not, but that you have a sister. You can figure things out later, but for now, enjoy the fact that you have a sister, who is just as excited to see you, as you are her."

"Thanks, Ginny." Then what we had been waiting for.  A knock.
