The next few seconds, were a blur. Prince knocked into the leader's feet. Ren hit her captor's inner elbow so hard he dropped his knife, screaming. Ren fell to recover the weapon. The man lunged for her. A gunshot fired. Jasper had shot the blonde man in the head. One man fled with his shovel. The leader scrambled and grabbed the gun. He leaped to his feet. Ren jumped up, looking terrified. Her previous captor, incapacitated. The man pointed the gun at them. Ren backed up toward the others. The man sneered, "I'm gettin' that money, freaks." Jaden blinked, the man was insane. Completely forgetful the creature barreling towards him. "Come on, kids. Li-" The Infect smashed into him. Ammo sprayed Ren's direction. Jaden tackled her. The others hit the deck. There were more gun shots, and screams. "Jasper grabbed Aaron and jerked him up, "Let's go." They got to their feet. All of them but Jaden and Ren. "Guys let's go." Ari hissed. Ren was trying to get Jaden to stand but he was shaking his head, hand pushed to his side. Jasper grabbed his arm, "Dude, get up!" The screams were fading, the man almost dead. Jaden slowly pulled his hand away from his side. That was when Jasper saw the blood.
