I’m yelling and screaming at the people right in front of me, but they don’t seem to hear.
My hand grasping tightly around their legs but they don’t seem to feel it.
My tears slowly drowning them, yet they don’t seem to taste the bitter salt within.
And my figure crumples in front of them begging for acceptance and still they do not see.
Their clouded eyes filled with pity and confusion as they try to sense me for what I am.
I am broken, but still they cannot see and in frustration they turn around and walk away,
Their receding figure turning into a dark shadow that looms over my weak body.
I shout for attention and help, but they are all gone, and shadows are all that remain.
