The beeping noise of the heart monitor is the only way to know that the person sleeping on the bed is alive. He is sleeping so peacefully as if he doesn't have any care in the world.
Jivika sits on the chair beside the bed where Shivansh is lying with an oxygen mask attached to his face. She looks at numerous small scratches on his face while his head is covered with a bandage. Next her eyes move toward his left hand which is covered in the cast and finally her eyes get stuck on his legs which are also in casts. She closes her eyes not able to bear seeing her husband in this state. He was all okay when he left the palace but now he is lying here without moving an inch.
When the doctor informs about Shivansh slipping into the coma, she has also said that the next 72 hours will be very crucial for him. So, they have transferred him into the ICU and only a few people can meet him. Although everyone has told Jivika to meet him first but she denied saying that Pratap and Aaradhya should go first as they have the right to see their son first.
"Shiv, when are you going to take me out for the ice cream?" Jivika asks hoping to get an answer from her husband although she knows that he won't give her any reply.
"Aapne to kaha tha ki aap mera koi bhi sapna tutne nahi denge. To aapne apna vada kyun toda? Kyun mujhse baat bhi nahi kar rahe ho ab?" Jivika asks holding Shivansh's right hand which is cold as ice.
(You have said that you won't let any of my dreams get shattered. Then why have you broken your promise? Why are you not even talking to me?)
"Dekho na Shiv, aapki Rani Sahiba ro rahi hain. Aapko to achcha nahi lagta hain na jab main roti hu, to abhi kyun nahi mere aansu pochh rahe ho aap?" Jivika asks looking at her husband with so much pain in her eyes that will make anyone cry seeing her in this condition.
(Look Shiv, your Rani Sahiba is crying. You don't like it when I cry, then why are you not wiping my tears now?)
"Doctor ne kaha hain ki aap kab uthoge unhe nahi pata. Lekin main jaanti hu mere Shiv zyada din unki Rani Sahiba ke bina reh hi nahi payenge. Aur phir mujhe bhi to aapke haathoe se khane ki adat ho gayi hain. To aapko na jaldi uthna padega warna main to bhukhi hi reh jaungi." Jivika says while continuing tears slide down her face like a waterfall.
(The doctor has said that she doesn't know when you will wake up. But I know that my Shiv won't be able to live without his Rani Sahiba. Also, I have become used to eating from your hand. So, you have to wake up early otherwise I will remain hungry.)
Jivika puts her hand over her mouth to keep her from crying out loud. She is trying hard to control herself but the agony that is going inside her is making everything difficult for her. She doesn't know what sins she has committed in her past life to get so much sorrow in this life. It seems that she can't be happy despite her trying to be in her best behavior.
Just yesterday both of them expressed their feelings to each other. Just last night they were discussing what they wanted for their future. Just this morning they were sharing happy moments together. But now one is lying on the hospital bed while the other is sitting on a chair beside that hospital bed.
Jivika wipes her tears with her dupatta as well as clears her throat before she starts speaking again. She holds Shivansh's right hand with both of her hands and kisses the back of his hand the way he does with her.
"You need a lot of rest right now so rest well and don't worry about anything at home. I will take care of everyone on your behalf. Also, I will not cry anymore because I am saving all my tears till you come back to me. I will cry my heart out when you'll be taking me in your embrace. Because right now I have to be strong for our family." Jivika remarks again kissing the back of Shivansh's hand.
