"Then why didn't Kavyansh Bhaiya become the King after you, Papa?" Jivika asks out of curiosity.
"Because I refused to accept the position." Kavyansh answers instead of his father because he will be the best person to describe things from here.
"I was never told about my biological mother and that is why I only knew Aaradhya Maa. She was my mother because ever since I was a baby, I had only seen her and then came Shivansh who was my best friend since childhood. He was 4 years younger than me but still it felt like I was raising him. It seemed as if all the fun I was having ended the moment he came. Not because he stopped me, but because of him I stopped myself. I understood what it meant to be an elder brother because I had always seen Papa taking care of Chachu. Then I met Advait who used to visit the palace from orphanage because of his friendship with Shivansh. Even Ritika soon joined them and after a few years Eklavya arrived. Many children came to our family but I remained the eldest brother. Whenever these kids had to share something, they would come to me but I would go to my mother with my problems." Kavyansh says with a soft faraway look on his face.
"Because since childhood I had this habit of sharing everything with her, even the smallest things. I used to share them with her. I didn't have any ties with my father because he was busy with work and I don't know why my bonding with my mother was better than my father. This does not mean that Papa loved me any less. Papa has also loved me a lot but Maa is such with whom I can share even those things which I feel scared to share with anyone else." Kavyansh continues while others too starts remembering the old times.
"I was told since childhood that I will become the king after my father and that's why I was being trained too. Along with me, Shivansh, Ritika and Adwait were also being trained because it's important to know self-defense so that you could save yourself from any trouble. But when I turned 18, I came to know that the person whom I considered my mother had never given birth to me." Aaradhya closes her eyes feeling shattered remembering how broken Kavyansh was that time.
"How did you get to know, Bhaiya?" Jivika asks looking scared.
"I was attending classes in college and was very happy because after the classes were over I was going to going to celebrate my birthday with my friends in a nearby restaurant but then during the class I was informed that someone was waiting for me in the college canteen and wanted to meet me. So I thought, let's go and see who it was. I didn't know that it was my biological mother who had come to meet me without my family's knowledge. As soon as she told me that she was my real mother, I felt as if the ground beneath my feet was slipping away. My whole life seemed to have become a lie." Kavyansh replies while a gasp leaves Jivika's lips. She can't believe that a person can be this cruel to her own son.
"She told me how Papa cheated on her with Aaradhya Maa and forcefully divorced her and threw her out of the palace. He did not even let her meet me. But now that I was 18 years old, no law applies to me that could stop me from meeting my biological mother. That was why she had come to meet me secretly. She brainwashed me so badly against my family that I started to feel that my own family was my enemy. Shivansh and Aaradhya Maa, both of whom I loved the most, became thorns in my eyes. It felt as if all my powers of thinking and understanding had been taken away from me. I was unable to understand anything and I kept believing that woman's words like a blind person." Kavyansh continues but this time his face has turned rigid with the horrible memories coming back to haunt him one more time.
"After going back to the palace, I fought a lot with Papa, Dadaji and even Shivansh .I called him my step brother and this thing got rooted in his heart and from then on my brother became completely aloof. He was a 14 year old boy who could not understand why his elder brother who loved him so much was hating him suddenly. For a few months the condition of the house had become very bad. No one talked to anyone properly. Then one day Dadaji made us all sit together and there he told me everything from the start. Not only that, he showed me all the evidence against my biological mother which proved that whatever my biological mother had told me was a lie." Kavyansh says while looking at his grandfather who let's out a sigh.
