Love blossoms between Kyle Abbott and Claire (Grace) Newman-Howard as Kyle and Summer Newman battle for custody of Harrison. But when Kyle naturally is granted custody of Harrison, things get tricky when Harrison's biological mother returns to Genoa...
"Thank you for coming with us to Paris," Kyle says to Claire before he kisses her again.
"I had a great time with Harrison, but especially with you," Claire gushes as fondly remembers her time with Kyle.
But their moment was interrupted by Summer when she ran into them as they arrived at Society with Harrison for some breakfast after returning from a business trip with Kyle's business partner, Audra Charles.

"Finally, you're back!" Summer greets Kyle and Claire with a glare.
"Yes, Summer, we're back from Paris," Kyle said exasperated by Summer's constant hovering. Ever since his decision to move out of the Abbott mansion, Summer has been unbearable, accusing him of making unwise choices where Harrison is concerned.
"Well, today's the day we go to court to hear the judge's ruling in the custody lawsuit." Summer says gleefully.
"I'll be there with bells on," Kyle says, confident he will be the victor.
Kyle and Claire arrive at the Genoa City Courthouse hand –in-hand as Summer arrives with Chance Chancellor as they take their respective seats when the judge comes into the courtroom.
After the judge brings the court to order, he gives his judgment in the custody of Harrison Abbott.
"After reading the matters in this case, I have made my decision as to the best arrangement for minor child, Harrison Abbott."
Kyle and Summer look to each other as they wait for the judge's decision.

"My decision in this case goes to Kyle Abbott with visitation granted to Summer Newman," the judge makes his decision known, as Kyle and Claire kiss and Summer leaves the courtroom abruptly while Kyle and Claire go home to Harrison to tell him the news.
After having dinner and a family celebration, there is a knock on the door and Kyle is stunned to see who is standing on his doorstep: Tara Locke!
