Author POV

(In the Khan's warehouse)

Amjad : Are you all mad? You couldn't even shoot the right target!

Three masked men : Maafi Khan Saheb! Sab kuch badhiya set raha. Pata nahi kaise Thakur saheb piche khich Gaye aur wo Buddha samne aa gaya.

(Sorry Khan Saheb! Everything was perfectly set. We don't know who dragged Thakur saheb, and that old brat came forward.)

Amjad : My target was Balraj, not Jaswant. God forbid, if Jaswant dies, our plan would hang in between, and I don't want it. I want those bastards to die miserably. I want Niharika to chant our slogans before she dies. I want Muslims to get framed, and that's when I will expose Jaswant. The entire country will see it. We will be portrayed as victims, and the sympathy votes will come to us.

The three men nodded unanimously, and Amjad continued

Amjad : Just keep an eye on that Balraj. I hope he dies!

The door of the warehouse banged, and Armaan strode inside like a lion.

"Ye kya sun rahe hai hum, Abbu? Apne goli chalwayi Balraj Singh Thakur par?"

"What am I listening to, Abbu? You were behind these attacks?"

He bellowed, and the three men began shivering, listening to his heavy threatening voice.

"Yes! I did it. When my eldest living son comes out to be of no use, it had to be me."

Amjad fired back at Armaan, and Armaan clenched his fist angrily.

"Abbu, why don't you understand? Now it has gone out of our hands. No one will be able to stop the despicable fire that is all set to devour upon the innocent lives all across the state."

He elucidated his father, and Amjad chuckled.

"Let these fuckers die."

Amjad grunted, and Armaan held his bicep.

"Muslims will also die, Abbu!"

Armaan tried to make Amjad realise his misdeeds, but Amjad said something that shook Armaan to the core.

"Let a few of them get sacrificed in this war. They will reach heaven."

Armaan could discern that the odious mindset had completely ruined his father's mindset, so there was no use of any explanations. He ran outside to observe the riots that were on the verge of beginning.

"Media me khabar phailwa do ki Pappa nahi rahe. Hamari baat ho gayi hai doctor saheb se, wo ek laash arrange kar denge Jo bilkul Pappa jaisi lagegi. Hum uska hi antim sanskar karenge."

"Spread the news of my father's death into the media. I've talked to the Doctor regarding this, he will arrange a dead body that would resemble my father. We will perform its last rites."

Jai muttered on a phone call, with Arjun on the other side. Arjun asked about Jaswant's health, and Jai replied

"Recover kar rahe hai. Marne to nahi dunga unhe. Abhi unka tadapna baki hai."

"He is recovering. I won't let him die so easily. He deserves proper torture."

Mandakini POV

"Abhi abhi khabar aa rahi hai ki Jaswant Singh Thakur nahi rahe. Unhone apne praan tyaag diye hai aur unpe hamla hote samay unke bade bete Balraj Singh Thakur, Jo ki Prayagraj jane mane vidhayak hai, wo bhi ghayal ho Gaye hai."
