𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 seven, tension or TENSION

the house was hell on earth. like the brunette was positive that the devil himself made her become a actor and then made sure she was stuck in a house with her ex best friend and ex love person thingy for three months.

there was no denying it anymore because it was game night ! which could also be labeled as hell on earth considering they picked teams randomly. and she ended up with malachi. which could be seen as hell on earth once again.

but at least it wasn't the blonde!

they were five rounds into charades and she was already getting annoyed. she watched as malachi tried to act out something to her as she looked at the boy confused.

" jamison i swear to go look at how i'm standing" he yelled at her. " malachi i'm giving up" she told him leaning back all the way on the couch now. " come on" he wined out.

" times out" chloe said. " shit" malachi said. " what even was it" the brunette girl heard miles say. he was blonde just like the other boy. have a sense of familiarity. " the statue of liberty" malachi exclaimed before flaunting on the couch.

" well that's end game guys" harper said with a smile. " just say who won" malachi let out from where he laid on top of people.

" so in last place we have walker and miles with two points, in second place it's jamison and malachi and in first it's chloe and noah" harper said with a smile. " bullshit" everyone heard malachi let out causing a laugh to be let out from everyone's mouth.

" okay get off of me i'm going to sleep" malachi heard noah say but since the boy moved the older boy pushed him causing the brunette to fall on the floor. jamison tried to suppress her laugh as she saw him fall.

" okay i'll clean up" jamison said trying to change the subject in the room which was malachi falling. " great thanks jamie" harper said with a smile as everyone thanked her before leaving the room and heading to their respective rooms.

well almost everyone.

jamison slowly started to clean up the popcorn that was on the ground and fixed the couch as she felt a presence of someone else in the room still.

" let me help" she heard him let out. she felt herself pause slightly before humming a approving sound. she grabbed the popcorn bowl as she heard him grab the cups before they made their way to the large kitchen.

the tension was thick. they both could feel it.

she threw out the leftover popcorn before closing the trash can. it was silent in the open space before she heard his voice break it. and it hurt her to say that she missed it.

" did you know" he asked her. she paused. this time her body vividly paused with her brain. she knew what he was talking about. she didn't know how to speak anymore. she forgot.

" yes walker i did" she said before putting the bowl in the sink and turning around to walk out before she felt his hand grab ahold of her wrist. she still refused to look at him.

" my dad told me you came to see me" he told her. all of a sudden the day that he was referring to jumped in her head.

it was raining. pounding down rain. seven months. the number seven. gone. bye. no more walker. she messed up. seven.

" i don't want to talk to you about this right now" she told him. it was getting late the moon was craving her attention. and she was craving the moons and it's silk that covered it.

at this moment she wished she was on the moon.

" james you won't even look at me" he told her causing the girl to look up at him. he looked different. older.

the number seven popped up into her head again as she looked at him.

" don't call me that walker please" she asked him her voice cracking. a part of her body felt like it was cracking as well as he let go of her wrist.

she waited for him to say something. anything. anything that would have her leaping back into his arms but he didn't. his mouth opened but then closed.

" goodnight walker" she told the boy before talking away. the tension leaving the room as she left.

even the moon said goodbye to walker. he wouldn't be able to drink from it anymore. but the sun would still let him.

it's just it would never be the moon. never the moon and back.
