The area of the new floor that Yuma appeared on looked somewhat like a wheat field. Steadily the fourteen year old lifted himself off the ground, put his sword back in its sheath and studied his surroundings, he could sense people around him. Suddenly there was a buzzing noise from above, it was from a bronze cube. After the buzzing a voice began to speak. "Mic test! Mic test! One two three! One! Two!" the voice that sounded from the cube.
"Hello everyone! All the "regulars" who made it to the Tower... We sincerely welcome all of you, to the second floor... Evankhell's floor! This is Evankhell's floor. It is also called "The Floor of Tests". Because...Here we carry out the final test to see whether you are qualified to go up the Tower. Well, I will explain the details to you later. First, let's start the first test! It's been a long time since we warmed up!"

Yuma's POV:

'So this is the next floor, it's quite a wide area. I wonder what they will have us do.' I thought as I continued to look at the floating box where the voice was coming from. "The first test is simple. I will explain the rule, so listen carefully." the voice from the cube stated.
"The rule for the first test is as followed. There are four hundred regulars here. Narrow down that four hundred to two hundred! Try every possible means! The test ends when the number of regulars reaches two hundred!" It was easy to sense the malicious intent of the people around, it was easy to tell the method of elimination that everyone would choose. 'So I'm going to have to eliminate people in order to ensure I make it to the next test.' I concluded.
"Ready, begin!" the cube's voice instructed.

And in that very instant there were already bloodcurdling screams. The smell of blood was drawn in by the wind, and so was the sound of footsteps drawing closer. Quickly I unsheathed my sword and spun around and blocked the attack from behind.
"Argh... Little brat." the person grumbled. I didn't even bother to look at their face before swiftly killing them. 'One down.'

The murders continued on until the two hundred required remained. The cube made a whirling sound signalling that the test was over. 'That went by a lot quicker then I expected.' I thought.
"Mic test! Everyone stay where you are!! The first test is now over!!" the voice announced.
"All remaining regulars stop what you're doing and listen carefully. Any regulars fighting from now on will be eliminated. To the two hundred regulars who passed the first test congratulations to you all! It may seem a bit rushed, but a short second test will be carried out right away!" I couldn't hear anyone groaning, but I could feel the annoyance in the air.
"Ha ha!" the box's voice laughed.
"Don't be so disappointed. The next test is really simple! Now here is the challenge for the second test! The challenge is "getting teammates"!" 'Teammates? So I have to find some people and form a team?' I pondered.
"There are two hundred remaining regulars. Among those who remain, find two regulars to be teammates." the voice explained.
"In short this test is... To make a team of three! For your reference, we're giving a five minute time limit. Of course if you don't make a team in five minutes, you are eliminated! Oh, and one more thing. To be considered a team you need to be touching some part of your teammates' bodies when the time limit is over! So everyone...good luck!"

After the final words of the cube I began to walk in an attempt to find two people who'll partner with me, as there was no one left alive where I was. As I was walking I heard two people arguing with each other. Cautiously I approached the duo. It was a male and a female. The male had green hair and a red horn poking out of his head, and his skin was brown. The female had grey hair and had fluffy ears atop their head and she was a pale white like me. Slowly I walked up to the two that were still yelling at each other. Gently I tapped the green haired one on the shoulder.
"What?!" he yelled as he whipped his head around.
"May we form a team?" I asked.
"Ha, no way would I ever team up with him and a weakling like you!" the female scoffed.
"We don't have to stay a team, we can just team up for this test." It took them a while to decide, it was obvious that they didn't like the idea of teaming together. But in the end, with thirty seconds remaining, they reluctantly agreed. Quickly we all grabbed each other's hands creating a triangle shape. Once the timer had finished counting down we were teleported to a room with everybody else. There was chattering all around us, they all spoke about one another and how they got in. I could hear people talking about a male with red hair and wings, they said stuff out him killing everyone that he met. I sat down cross-legged thinking about how I did the same thing as he did in that past test, even though there was obviously other ways to pass. But with the constant attacks there wasn't much of a choice. For awhile I was lost in thought until someone right beside me began to laugh loudly.
"Hahahaha! How the hell did this little shit pass that last test?!" he cackled pointing at me, in all honesty it was quite annoying.
"Maybe he hid like a baby for the entire match and that's how he survived!" By this point everyone was looking in this direction.
"Are you sure that wasn't you hiding for the whole test. You look pathetic, there is no way you'd survive." my female partner interjected.
"Now get lost before we have a problem." my other teammate spat. "Tch" the rude man scoffed. "Thank you." I said. "Cecilia." she responded. "Huh?" "That's my name dumbass." I just looked down fiddling with my fingers. "Name's Chase." Chase stated. "Oh, I'm Yuma."

A/N: Cecilia and Chase are just made up and aren't going to stay in the book for too long. I just needed some characters to pair with Yuma, so don't get to attached. Though I haven't entirely made up my mind on whether or not to keep them so there is a possibility that they will stay. But the mention of them will lessen if they do stay. Tell me if you want them to stay or not and I will try to write them in.
