Season 2 Episode 2 & 3
Rick walked out onto the porch with Evangeline trying to find a way to apologize for his wife's words.
"I'm sorry about Lori." Rick finally spoke up startling the two Greene women. Maggie rolled her eyes at the man moving farther off the porch.
"He's a good man, Otis."
"To hear how she talked about him I get it her son was shot but it was an accident and we are doing everything we can to make up for it." Evangeline let out defending her uncle, she would defend him until death.
Before Maggie and Beth had been born her father hadn't been the best at juggling three kids. Her uncle Otis was always there for her when her father was not.
Rick looked down at the girl staring into her eyes his head tilted to the side slightly.
"You don't have to defend him to me, I trust you." Rick let out a fatigued look on his face.
"You don't even know me," Evangeline let out never once breaking eye contact.
"I want to get to know you, Evangeline."
Evangeline bit her bottom lip shaking her head. "You should go check on your son....... and wife," Evangeline says emphasizing the word wife. Their eye contact never once faltered as they continued to stare at each other.
"Yes I should go check on my son....... and wife," Rick said emphasizing the word wife just as Evangeline had done only moments ago.
Evangeline watching Rick walk away lets out a deep sigh. "Are you flirting with a married man?" Maggie whispered into her ear scaring the woman, Elodie, and Ezra walking behind their aunt. "Maggie." She shouted holding a hand on her chest.
"Jesus, you scared me half to death and I was not flirting with him." Evangeline scoffed.
"Hi, Mommy!" The twins spoke standing on both sides of their mama. "Hi, my babies." Evangeline beamed down at her kids.
"Sure Angie, whatever helps you sleep at night." Maggie let out laughing. "I wouldn't want to be involved with his drama," Evangeline gossiped running her fingers through the curls on her kid's head.
"What drama?" Maggie questioned raising an eyebrow. Evangeline released a laugh but before she could respond two men walked toward them, a gun in tow.
"So do we ring the bell? I mean it looks like people live here," the Asian boy asked his friend who looked as if he were bitten.
"We're past this kind of stuff, aren't we?
Having to be considerate," his friend spoke."We would prefer for you to ring the bell, or hell knock even," Evangeline spoke up unnerve the two men.
"Mommy you said a bad word," Elodie said tugging on her mom's hand. "Sorry baby."
"Did you close the gate up the road when you drove in?" Maggie questioned walking up to the men.
