"Bye mom." I said as I was leaving the apartment, we just recently moved into The Valley also known as The San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. It was my first day of school at West Valley High School, Sophomore year here I come.
My mom and I used to live in Pasadena, until my dad kicked us out and we had to live somewhere else. My mom isn't taking it very well, she's been drinking nonstop and laying down on the couch twenty-four seven.
I started walking to school, it was about 7:35 am and school was starting in 25 minutes. It's a short walk to school, about 5 minutes.
While I was walking a car started honking, I turned around and noticed it was a group of girls.
"Hey loser! Imagine having to walk to school!" The girl said, she was a typical mean girl. Blonde, HOT, and perfect, I could tell that she was popular by her confidence. I simply ignored her and continued walking, she kept honking but eventually gave up.
Shortly after I arrived at school, I walked in and noticed that I was the only lonely person there. Everyone had a friend or multiple friends hanging out with them and talking but I had no one. I got a few stares as I continued walking. I pulled out my phone and looked at my schedule, I found out what class I had to go to for first period. I walked up to my locker and placed a few books in there for classes.
"Look who we have here." Someone said, they were right behind me. I closed my locker and turned around. It was the same girl from a few minutes ago, her friends were standing next to her waiting for her to do something.
"Um, hi." I said standing awkwardly, the blonde girl laughed and her friends started laughing.
"Ew why do you dress like that..you look so fat with those jeans on." The blonde said, I looked down at my clothes, I was wearing a sweater and some dark bootcut jeans.
"You can't be talking, by the way you should get some new friends. They didn't even bother to tell you that your outfit looks like a rainbow shit all over you before coming here." I said.
"Fuck you! Sam, Moon let's go. I can't stand looking at her pathetic face."
"Okay Yasmine." Her friend said walking away with her.
