"Dear diary, three words, what is Eradex? Two words, FEELING WONKY! One word, CONFUSED! One word, FEAR. I'm freaking out..."
I was in the kitchen were Kat and I baked earlier. I had to drink water, my throat was parched. I went to the fridge, brought out a bottle and gulped it down hastily. It wasn't enough so I brought out another one and drank it halfway.
Due to the entire hullabaloo in my head, I forgot to turn on the lights. I didn't mind, after all, I didn't want to attract attention.
I wasn't feeling sleepy anymore and I decided to eat some ice cream. I saw different flavors, gosh, so many to pick from. It was hard but I finally settled for a simple combination of vanilla and chocolate chip.
I didn't want to be bored so, I decided I'll go to the entertainment room to keep busy. On getting there, I heard the large screen TV playing. I wondered who could be awake by this time. I went in and saw Jason sitting on a couch. I gasped, about to run out, until I heard his voice.
"Stay," He said with an oddly cold voice. He turned around, I could barely see his face because the only light source in the room was the TV, but he looked a bit drained.
I sat beside him leaving some space. I could faint sitting so close to him.
Typical you.
Not now mind.
I placed my focus on my ice cream which was already melting, consciously eating it. We sat in silence, staring at the screen but none of us grasped what it portrayed.
"Why are you up?" He suddenly asked, folding his arms, eyes glued to the screen.
"Umm....my brain was too active?" I lied. It came out more like a question than a statement. I inwardly face palmed myself.
That was the worst lie ever.
"I see," He responded, clearly not buying it.
"You?" I questioned back.
"Couldn't sleep." He briefly stated.
The silence was back again. I finished my ice cream and turned to him, his eyes were closed. I guessed he was asleep and moved closer. I waved a hand in front of his face, no reaction. I gawked at him, observing his features. I was about to touch his cheek when he caught my hand.
"What are you doing?" He asked, tightening his grip.
"Umm....I was....just," I stuttered, scratching the back of head with my free hand, trying to come up with something, while being embarrassed that he caught me.
"Just what?" He asked, pulling me closer.
My breath hitched being so close to him. His ocean blue orbs looked straight into my greens’. I couldn't utter a word, I was motionless, and I was lost in them.
"You've always been weird haven't you?" He asked again, "Whenever I see you, you're either staring, lost in your thoughts or behaving strange, why is that?" He continue.
Because I like you that's why.
"What did you say?" He asked keenly, releasing his grip.
Did I say that out loud?
"Umm... Nothing, I didn't say anything," I defended and he pulled me towards him.
He hugged me.
He freaking hugged me.
"You're fremd, that's fine with me," He said, kissing my cheek. I was on cloud nine. I stayed in his arms, for fear he'd pull away.
