Aiden and James we just casually walking through camp, until one of them noticed something on the ground. It seemed to be a book, perhaps a journal. They didn't mean to snoop, but looked inside anyways. The thing was, it was in a different language, from what they could tell, it was Korean, probably Yul's. They decided to translate it with James' phone and read through it quietly...

Dear diary,

Our family finally did it...but, not without someone getting hurt. We'll miss her. My mother said she knows someone and that we'll stay there for a while. I miss my friends, but I'm sure it'll be better here...more calm...more free.

After we got through the boarder, we had to run, my mother took me by my arm, and pulled me close, I was terrified, and hoped it was just a few meters away...it wasn't.

Finally, after a few hours, we got there. I believe it was my aunt's bestfriend's house or something? She invited us inside, closing the door behind us. She then brought us something to eat and drink. I was starving...but knew not to be so steady about it, so waited until everyone started eating.

The friend told us she was gonna bring us to our rooms. I couldn't be more thankful. I know I'm still young, but, you can never be too happy about something like this, it was just like we escaped war. It was...freeing.

Our room was in the basement, everyone had gotten a small mattress to sleep on, and some other things. So, me, my mother and my father walked downstairs, into the cold basement.
Icy wind touched my bare skin. I jumped onto a mattress, happier than ever.

I am gonna take a nap, bye for now.

After I woke up, my mother called that dinner was done. I ran upstairs and sat down patiently. After dinner was done, and we all ate, I went to bed. Goodnight...

Aiden and James finished reading the page, in some type of shock/sadness look. They felt bad for him, somehow. They knew where he was at first, but they just didn't expect this. They wanted to just leave it, and walk away, but their willingness made them read more. They could already hear Yul, walking around and mumbling, they left and took the diary with them, and then read the next entry...
