my biggest mistake...

They saw something interesting, his birthday? They decided to read it through to see what happened on that day...

Dear Diary,

Today is my birthday! I'm turning nine years old!

I miss my friends, we used to have so much fun, even if we didn't have much... My mother bought us something sweet, and my brother said he was gonna take the first bite of it. I don't know what it is yet, but I'm very excited.

My friends at school said that I act weird around them, like I don't belong here, or something like that. That was really mean...I just don't like the same things as them. They're the weird ones. It's not my fault we don't have the same interests. Anyways, my mother said I have to look nice, or something, but that's absurd because I already look good...maybe I should just dress how I wanna dress? But I don't know if my family would like it.

Today was great, I got some gifts, but not too many, since that would seem "greedy" and not "modest", I hate those words. Anyways, I'm still very happy with everything I got. At night, my father came home, he looked very tired. I guess being an engineer can be very tiring. He didn't even greet me. I didn't really care. I went to my bed and started playing with some of the stuff I got. He yelled at Min-Suk a bit, that hurt me, because I don't want him to yell. Especially not at my brother. Anyways, that's all for today, byee :)

"That was so sweet, he had a birthday and got gifts. That last part was a bit sad though" Aiden said. His partner nodded

"I agree, but we should probably stop snooping around like this."

They sighed, slightly hesitating, bur deciding to just leave it there. Then they left. After a while they noticed it was still there, maybe they should continue? Who knows what they might find out about him next...
