The boy- Isaac slowly sat down in the tub of ice, his breaths becoming shallow, focusing on anything else but the cold. Derek and Scott put their hands on his shoulders, pushing him all the way, only for Isaac to attempt to escape by roaring, his fangs bare. Only having seen it one other time, Dakota stumbled back into Stiles, who grabbed her waist to steady her. She nodded at him in gratitude and moved to stand next to him.
"Hold him under!" Deaton ordered the two. "We're trying!" Derek yelled back. Dakota moved forward to help, grabbing Isaac's waist as Stiles grabbed his legs. They eventually managed to hold him down long enough for him to get into a trance-like state, he floated back up so his face was above the water.
Deaton held up his finger to silence everyone. "Now remember, only I talk. Too many voices will confuse him, draw him out." He whispered. Everyone nodded at him, promising him to keep quiet. He leaned over the tub, his gaze glued on Isaac. "Isaac. can you hear me?" "yes, I can hear you," he answered, his lips turning purple, body shaking. "This is Doctor Deaton. I'd like to ask you some questions, is that alright?" a quiet 'yes' escaped Isaac's mouth.
Stiles and Dakota made eye contact, and even though the girl was nervous, there was something about Stiles' eyes that kept her calm. "I want to ask you about the night you found Erica and Boyd. I want you to remember it for me in as vivid detail as possible. Like you're there again." Isaac began to stutter, his breaths becoming uneven. "I-I don't want to do that, I don't-I don't wanna do that." the lights began to flicker, and Isaac tried to curl into a ball. "I don't wanna do that!" he raised his voice. "just relax," Deaton said, trying to calm him down.
" They're just memories, you can't be hurt by a memory." Though, Isaac wasn't buying it. "I don't want to do that!" Deaton kept calming him down, his tone being steady without any slip-ups. Once Isaac calmed down again, the doctor continued. "Now let's go back to that night. To the place you found Erica and Boyd. Tell me what you see, is there some kind of building? A house?"
"There's uh, there's a house. It's stone, Like marble." "That's perfect. Can you give me any other descriptions?" "It's dusty, empty." "Like an abandoned building?" Isaac shook his head, the lights started flickering again. "Isaac? Isaac?" The boy started muttering, grabbing a hold of Scott's arm. "Isaac, relax." But nothing seemed to work as Isaac began to struggle again. "They saw me!" The boy cried out, trying to escape the tub making everyone tighten their grip on him.
The doctor managed to calm him down once again. The four that were holding him, let him go and backed up a little bit. "Now tell us what you see. Tell us everything." the only girl in the room could see his eyes rolling around under his eyelids, his tight grip on Scott loosening.
"He's talking about the full moon rising, being out of control. "Is he talking to Erica?" "I think so, I can't... I can't see her. I can't see either of them." "Can you hear anything else?" "They're worried. Worried about what they'd do during the moon. Worried that they're gonna hurt each other."
Despite the rules of the rest having to keep quiet, Derek spoke- whispered. "If they're together on a full moon, they're gonna tear each other apart." they all shared a worried look before Deaton tried to get more information out of him. "Isaac, you need to find them right now, do you see them?" "No." "Do you know what kind of room they're in? Is there any kind of a marker, a number on a door, a sign?"
In one motion, Isaac shot upward with a gasp, making Dakota jump and take some steps away from him. He stared at her as he muttered words, seemingly still in a trance-like state. He started taking short, loud breaths "They saw me!" he shouted. Derek had enough of it, speaking up. "This isn't working. Isaac, where are you?!" "I can't see them, it's too dark!"
