She slept through the whole weekend. Every dream was filled with horror, but then again, she only remembered bits and pieces of the nightmares, so she dismissed them.
Right now she was standing a few feet away from Scott, Isaac, and Stiles, choosing to associate with them as little as possible. Her dad wrote her up for track, apparently because she wasn't 'active enough'. Voiced like a true father with a beer belly.
So of course she noticed her shoe being untied right when the coach blew his whistle as a starting signal. When she stood back up though, everyone already left her eyesight. Sighing, she started running to what she thought would be the way, only to end up off-track. She slowed down to a walk, trying to find the way back.
She was officially lost. She'd been walking around for five minutes but didn't find anyone. Looking at her feet that she dragged over the ground. Not watching where she was going, the girl tripped over a tree branch. Sighing once again, she looked at the branch, following it with her eyes, but stopping once she noticed a trail of blood leading to a body tied to the tree.
She saw the face, his neck tied to the tree with a dog leash and his body hung up, throat slit, blood everywhere. A scream escaped her throat as she scrambled back, trying to get as far away from it as possible. However, it was hard, as she couldn't appear to disregard her gaze.
A face appeared in front of her, trying to gain her attention. It was blurry though, tears pooled in her eyes, blinding her from seeing properly. But when someone wiped those tears away with their thumb, she could see Stiles with his hand resting on her arm.
"Dakota?" She nodded in acknowledgment. "Are you okay?" She looked up at him, fresh tears collecting her her eyes. "I don't- it's just..." Her eyes darted around, frantically looking for something. "yeah, let's get you out of here."He took off his sweater, put it over her shoulders, and guided her back to the track, where they met up with Scott and Isaac.
"You saw the way the twins looked at him?" Isaac spoke. "Yhea, you mean like they had no idea what happened?" "Nah. Nah, they knew." "Wha- the kid was strangled with a garrot, okay? Am I the only one recognizing the lack of werewolfitude in these murders?" The hazel-eyed boy explained.
"You think it's a coincidence that they show up and people start dying?" "No! but I still don't think it's them?" "Scott?" Isaac questioned, wanting a second opinion.
The girl zoned the rest of their conversation, looking around until she found who she was looking for, She dropped his hand back to the side of his body and started striding over to him, ignoring the boy's calls. "Papa!" running over to her dad, who immediately engulfed her in a hug.
"Are you okay? they said that you found the body, what happened." "I don't know I just- I don't know."
"That's okay, hija. Don't be alone today, okay?" She nodded at him
Diego grabbed her face in his hands, "And I don't want you to drive right now, is there anyone who can bring you home, later today?"
"I'll figure something out, don't worry." She smiled. " I'm always going to worry about you, niñita." "I know." The girl nodded, saying goodbye and then going back to Scott and the two boys.
She hugged Stiles' sweater closer to her body, not saying a word as she stood next to him.

"Alright, since Anirtia is a subject of which all you you know plenty, why don't we start with momentum." Harris underlined the word momentum on the chalkboard, his back turned to the students.
