The dessert was as hot as ever, Kaveh desperately missed the comforts of home. A client had commissioned him for a building in the outskirts of Aaru Village.
He got there just around lunch time, when most of the workers were on their lunch break. Kaveh decided to take a look at the progress. The foundation was placed and supplies laid around in the sand. He stepped over a few and imagined the finished product. Yes, it would be perfect. Shame that people would rarely see it considering its location...For some reason, thinking about that gave him a headache.
An arrow flew towards him, thankfully his suitcase, Mehrak blocked it. The arrow bouncing off the suitcase harmlessly and alerting Kaveh to the Hilichurl.
There was a whole hoard of them—the big ones with the shields too—their thick fur not helping in the dessert climate.
Strange, why are there so many hilichurls?
Kaveh had half a mind to escape before Mehrak charged into battle...Kaveh couldn't just leave the suitcase there...
They managed to defeat a few hilichurls (Kaveh was going to be sore after this) but there were so many! Kaveh felt like his head was splitting apart, he wasn't sure if this was from the stress, exercise or bad timing.
"HELP! SOMEONE!!!!" Kaveh shouted, cursing the location once again.
Seriously, why did this have to happen now?!
Kaveh barely managed to dodge a swinging axe, then smashed the mitachurl in the face with Mehrak. He could fix any dents or scratches on Mehrak later, the mitachurls had surprisingly strong masks. Kaveh wasn't sure he wanted to see one without their masks anyways.
"Kaveh!" A familiar voice called, followed by a flash of electro.
Kaveh turned his head.
Cyno?! Maybe my luck isn't so bad, I thought—
It happened too fast. A wooden shield charged at him, ramming him against the nearby rocky walls, hard.
