When Faranak saw that Kaveh and Alhaitham had separate rooms, she gave Kaveh a comforting hand on the shoulder. "Don't worry. It'll get better."
Kaveh was, evidently, very confused. Alhaitham knew the idiot probably didn't catch wind of Faranak's misunderstanding. Alhaitham didn't care to correct her, he was sure half the people of Sumeru thought they were dating and the other half thought they were married. What's one more person to that assumption?
What he did care to correct; however, was the assumption on Kaveh's injuries. Faranak, for whatever reason, had the idea Alhaitham caused them.
It was the third day since meeting Faranak that Alhaitham was confronted. The bruises had already faded, but there was scarring. It was unfortunate, but nothing could be done about them now. It was illogical for Alhaitham to feel guilty over it, it wasn't his fault. Yet the smallest part of him wished he would've done something to keep Kaveh home that day.
Despite Faranak's shorter height, Alhaitham found her somewhat scary. Alhaitham did not find many people scary. His grandma was terrifying. Tighnari was scary in the sense that you couldn't predict what he would do next, and Cyno's jokes were a nightmare. Then there was Kaveh, Kaveh whose anger faded just as quickly as it ignited. Alhaitham found angry Kaveh cute, he almost smiled at the thought. That would've been bad considering the situation.
Faranak had her hand around Alhaitham's cape, pulling him towards her in a weird angle. They were in the hallway leading to the bedrooms. The only reason they were alone was because Kaveh was still getting ready to go out.
"I don't know where you got that idea from but I assure you, it is false." Alhaitham told her, "It happened when Kaveh was visiting a construction site. You can ask him yourself."
Faranak listened to his words and contemplated it. Unfortunately, that time was cut short when Kaveh opened his door. He blinked at the scene and looked terrified.
"W-what are you two doing?" Kaveh asked.
Faranak released Alhaitham and he dusted off his cape. "Nothing! We were just chatting about something."
Alhaitham nodded, "That took you forever, we should get going before we are late for our reservation. Cyno and Tighnari probably arrived ten minutes ago."
___________
No. Alhaitham does not want to fuck my mom. There is no way.
Kaveh pulled up his pants and redos his belt.
As annoying and UGH that guy is, he wouldn't. Mom is more than twice his age!
Kaveh clipped his hair and fumbled with it for a bit.
So why is that arrogant jerk acting so nice????
He tucked the feather ornament in place and opened the door.
Ugh, who knows?! How could anyone ever tell what that guy is—
Mom was holding onto Alhaitham's cape, pulling Alhaitham towards her, almost like they were going to—
NO.
"W-what are you two doing?"
Mom is happily married, there is no way she would do THAT.
The two have already separated from each other. "Nothing! We were just chatting about something." Mom tells him while Alhaitham gives him a slight smile.
