The promise.

My life was perfectly planned, exactly like how I wanted to be.

Only until that one girl changed everything in split of seconds.

Her name was Jennie kim

We were classmates and were very close to the point we always look for ways to talk to each other no matter how busy we might be. For me, I always saw her as a good friend and a great company but slowly as we began to move close, I never realised how she always kept a close eye on me.

As we entered high school..she started to be demanding which always made me annoyed. And one of those moments I would mention is when I was sitting in library, she came towards me with a big smile.

"How about we hang out?" She asked.

"I can't, I'm busy" I sighed.

Then I immediately noticed how her eyes narrowed "you've time for everyone around you, but only if I ask, you're busy?" She asked gritting her teeth in anger.

I was surprised but I didn't have the courage to refuse her anymore.

"Let's go" I stood up as she smiled again and dragged my arms pulling me with her. She took me to a expensive shopping mall, and it was very crowded. Jennie held me tightly in her arms and kept walking. I could feel her body warmth and the nudge of my elbow on one of her breasts. I stared at her assuming she might be uncomfortable but no, she was rather very happy. I sighed and that day was ended with me dropping jennie back at her house.

Another incident was when jisoo's wedding, Jennie's elder sister. All of our friends were invited including me too. But being busy, I almost forgot about the event.

"where are you?" the very wedding day I got a stern call from jennie.

"what happened?" I asked.

"won't you come over?"

"To where?" Then I heard her crying out of nowhere.

"It's my sister's wedding, I dressed up so beautifully for you to come..but you didn't even remember anything" she said, sobbing. "Okay..ok don't cry. I'm coming right now"

As I participated in her sister's wedding event, jennie was right next to me the entire day. I felt a sting in my heart knowing that she has obvious crush on me..but it's not that easy either because the truth should be told to her before she ends up falling for me more.

"Jennie..I have to tell you something" she snapped her head towards me with glowing eyes. Ouch.

I cleared my throat.

"I have a girlfriend already and we are committed to get married. I understand that you..like me, but I don't want you to continue like this. I hope you find someone else"

I looked away not before watching those tears run down her eyes, yet she remained silent.

After a month or less, I came to know about jennie's marriage and also her departure to New Zealand after marriage. I felt at peace knowing everything is now settled..but to my surprise, on one fine morning, she invited me to her house again.
