The next evening, under the cover of darkness we took a small boat and and things we would need and made our way to the island, this felt like it took hours, and the journey was treacherous, the waves crashing against us, but we pressed on.. by the time we reached the shore the moon was high, its light guiding us through the dense foliage, we followed the map closely, navigation through the thick and dark jungle until we found the entrance to the the underground cave, so we thought... we approved the cave and went in, there was no lagoon, there was writing on the walls of the cave that seemed to be in the same language that was on the 1887 entry, "look mom the same language that was in the entry" I said, "maybe we can use these to decode it" my mom stated, as we walked farther in the wet and cold cave, as I shined my flashlight around the walls I came across what seemed to be the alphabet, to decode the writing! "Mom,mom look" I said excitedly there's the letters! "Okay let's me try and figure it out" mom said confidently, "aha, I got it !!" She said happily "YES YES MOM" I said even more happily, "what's it say ?!" I said, "it says...there's no way to escape the curse." She said, wait what was this a joke a hoax, this isn't true we have to keep going I thought to myself. "That's not good, but I think we should keep going" I said, "okay good idea this is probably just trying to throw us off that's all", then we exited the cave and walked through the jungle look for the right cave for almost an hour until we found it, "it's over here mom" I said as my voice echoed, "okay let's go!" She said excited, we entered the cave, but this time the air was more damp and cool as we descended, the sound of our footsteps echoing off the stone walls, finally we reached the blue lagoon. Its waters glowing eerily under the moonlight "this is it!" Mom said, her voice barely a whisper, "are you ready ?", I nodded though my heart was pounding, we held hands stepping to the edge of the lagoon,as the clock struck midnight, and we jumped in the water.
