Lacey's P.O.V.
I looked over to Deaton for an explanation, and Deaton sighed.
"Whatever you did it changed you. You're an Alpha now." Deaton explained.
Jordan rushed in and looked over at me. He sighed in relief, he took me into his arms, and kissed my head. I suddenly felt guilty, I looked over at the others.
"Can you please excuse us?" Everyone gave us questioning looks but stepped out.
"What's wrong?" Jordan asked.
"I kissed someone else." I blurted out.
"What?" Jordan looked at me with hurt-filled eyes.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean for it to happen." I apologized quickly.
"No, save it. Talk to me when you have your feelings sorted out." Jordan stormed out and I broke down. Liam came in and gave me a sympathetic face.
"I need to go home." I croaked out. Liam just nodded and gave me to Derek. Derek took me to my house without question. I stepped out of the car and went to my room. My eyes closed and I fell into a sleep dreaming about the shooting and the screams of my brother.
I jerked awake and tried to calm my breathing. Once that didn't work, I got out of bed and went to Scott's room to see if he was asleep. I entered his room and found him snoring. Normally his snoring irritates me but now I'm so thankful that I can hear it again. I moved towards his bed and got under the covers. I fell asleep again to the sound of his heartbeat.
