The Quad

It was now morning the next day as Teams SLAA and HDAA were all walking through the quad of Haven Academy to their first class of the day. They were all dressed in uniforms consisting of a black jacket with a light gray outline around the edges, a white undershirt and a white band around the student's left arm. The girls' outfits consist of a gray and black checkered skirt, whereas the boys' uniforms have a pair of black trousers.

"First day of class. Let's try and make a good first impression," Siavash said.

"Impression is key," Athena said.

"But remember, we can't let everyone know where we're from," Lloyd said.

"Why is that?" Amethyst asked.

"The students that are from countries like America and the U.K. would probably want to vilify us," Athena said.

"The staff here already know, but they've agreed to not say anything at least," Yasu said.

"Where are you guys from exactly?" Deriko asked with a sly and curious smile.

"We'll tell you when we can trust you," Atar answered.

"We just want to start our lives over and leave the last one we've had behind," Mitra said.

The two teams soon approached a building and stepped in through the doors. Inside was a small battle arena with bleachers surrounding the ring. Several students were shuffling around to take a seat. Some of the students include Team SSSN (Sun), Team ABRN (Auburn), and the recently formed Team GUVV (Guava).

"Welp, let's take our seats," Amethyst said.

The eight students all walked up to the bleachers and climbed up to take their seats. A moment later a man walks into the ring to face the students Team SLAA, Atar, and Yasu all seem to recognize the man in the ring.

The man has gray hair, blue eyes, a short trimmed beard, and a scar that reaches from his left cheek to the top of his right eye. He wears a pair of blue jeans and a gray long sleeve shirt. He also wore a pair of brown boots, a pair of silver shin guards that reach up to his knees, a pair of matching cuisses on his thighs that were held up by a brown belt with small pouches and a round silver buckle, a silver armor chest plate, a pair of shoulder pads that reach down to his elbows, and a silver gauntlet on his left arm.

"Hello students. I'll be your combat instructor for your time here. I am Professor Samuel Whitlock," the known as Samuel introduced. "I'm one of the few new staff members here and I hail all the way from the United States, one of the nations of Earth."

The Remnan students all peeked up in interest, surprised that they have a Terran for a staff member.

"Wait. You're from the Earth?" Sun Wukong asked.

"Yes. And I'm not the only new staff member here at Haven that is from Earth. And the same goes for the other Huntsmen academies too," Samuel asked.

"But are you even qualified for the job?" Arslan Altan asked.

Yes. I'm one of several U.S. veterans that had my aura unlocked several months ago, and had intense Huntsman training. I even helped prepare some of the new coming students here," Samuel explained, giving a quick glance at Team SLAA, Atar, and Yasu.

"So why are the academies hiring those of Earth?" Nadir Shiko asked.

"To build up better relations between Remnant and Earth. They also believe that this would give you all a chance to also learn a lot about Earth too," Samuel answered.
