I woke up, rubbing my eyes, and glanced at the time,it was already 9:30. Oh god, now my senior will definitely kill me for being late! I quickly got out of bed and headed to the washroom, brushing my teeth while my mind raced with questions.
"I have a session with Mr. Singhania's Dadi... What will she be like? Good or strict? Will she even like me?"
I shook my head, realizing I was wasting time, and took a quick shower, putting on a simple short kurti and jeans. I tied my hair into a bun, grabbed my bag and files, and headed downstairs. Reaching the living room, I saw everyone seated on the sofa,Bhaiyya discussing something with Papa while Mumma was busy with the helpers.
I quickly went to Mumma, hugged her, and said, "Mumma, I'm heading to the hospital."
She shook her head and replied,
"Beta, at least have breakfast."
"No, Mumma, I'm already late! Sir will fire me otherwise," I replied, making her sigh as she nodded. As I reached the door, Bhai called out.
"Aaru, I'll drop you," he offered.
"No, Bhai, I'll manage," I said, trying to rush out, but he insisted.
"I'm going in that direction anyway," he said, motioning me to wait as he grabbed his keys. Finally, we were on the road, and all I could think about was how I'd make it on time.
Once he dropped me at the hospital, I headed inside, cautiously peeking to see if my boss was around. Not spotting him, I hurried to my cabin and took a deep breath, diving straight into my work.
Several hours passed, and I had finally wrapped up all my patient check-ups. I made my way to Vanya's cabin, smiling as I knocked. "Hi, Vanyu!"
She looked up, raising an eyebrow. "Hey! What's up?"
"Guess what? I have a session after hours today," I announced.
She furrowed her brows. "What session?"
"Mr. Singhania's grandmother," I explained, but before I could continue, I heard Mr. Bhansal's voice behind me.
"What session?" he asked, stern as always.
I turned around nervously. "Uh, Vidyut Singhania's grandmother," I replied, watching as his stern expression softened into a smile.
"Oh! Then you should leave early. He's a top businessman; this is good for us," he said, nodding approvingly. "But don't keep his Dadi waiting."
