6. Zayn's Friend

"Harry, do you want some ice cream?" I asked him, grabbing a bowl for myself.

"Yes." He called back quickly. I smile, grabbing a second bowl out for him and get us both some of the frozen treat. I take it out to him in the living room, hanging him his bowl and taking a seat next to him on the couch.

Harry starts eating his ice cream quickly, making a mess on his face. "Harry." I chuckle at him. He looks up at me. "Lick off your mouth you got ice cream all over." He does what I say and then goes back to eating. I eat mine and soon we're both finished.

Harry looks at me. "Niall got ice cream on mouth too." He leans forward and licks ice cream off my lips. I freeze instantly, pushing him away.

"No. Harry, you don't lick other people!" He moves away from me whimpering. Tears threaten to pour from his eyes.

"I sorry Niall..." He looks down. I sigh, staying mad at him could be a full time job, it was hard.

"Its alright Harry. Just don't do it again." He give me a small sad nod.

2 weeks later

Today's the day we go camping. Its going to be Harry and I, along with Liam, Zayn, and Zayn's new friend. He says that Harry should like his friend, but he wouldn't say why or anything else about it.

I woke up quite early to start packing, while Harry was still asleep. We were leaving at 10 o'clock sharp, so we could be at the site around 2. It was about a 4 hour drive, plus the time it would take us to unpack and set up.

Harry walks out at about 9, I have about all the packing done, and breakfast made. He looks at the stuff I have out.

"We camp today?" He questions.

"Yep." I nod. "I made breakfast, but we have to eat quick so we can go soon."

We sit at the table and eat our breakfast. After were done, Harry takes a shower, and gets dressed and were heading out the door.

I send Zayn a quick text to tell him that we are on our way, then load the car, and head off, making sure to get gas first.

Harry seems to get bored after only a few minutes and I don't blame him. Its a long car ride, but he soon falls asleep, leaving me alone with only the radio to fill the silence.

About 3 hours later, Harry starts waking up from his nap. He rubs his eyes, and looks at me. "There yet?" I shake my head.

"Not yet Harry." He gives me a small nod and listens to the radio. I hum along to the songs I know.

I pull up to a McDonald's a few minutes later, I order a Big Mac meal for me and and kids meal with chicken nuggets for Harry.

We eat and continue on our way.

A little while later, we finally pull into the camp site, and find our way to our spot, were Zayn and Liam are, along with Zayn's friend.

I park the car and get out, and Harry does the same. "Hey guys!" I greet them, as we head over to them.

"Hey Ni, Hi Harry." Zayn greets. Liam also greats us the same.

"Who's your friend?" I point towards the stranger standing a little bit away from us.

"Louis, come over and meet them." He tell him. Louis comes over to us.

"H-hi.." Louis stutters sounding slight scared at meeting new people.

"Niall and Harry, this is Louis, Louis this is Niall and Harry." Zayn introduces us, I noticed Louis has a beanie on, even though its hot out.

Harry smiles at him, "Hi." Louis gives him a smile back.

"Hi." Louis greets him back. I look at Zayn.

"Where'd you meet him at?" I ask.

"Its a long story mate, but he's really special.. Like Harry is. Come here Louis." Louis comes to his side quickly, like a dog to his master. Zayn starts to take off his beanie and Louis tries to get away trying to keep it on. "Its okay Louis, show them." Louis slowly obeys and takes off his beanie.

On his head, just like Harry, sat two ears but Louis had light brown puppy ears instead of cat ones.

"He's a puppy hybrid, I found him a week or two ago and he's been staying with me." Zayn smiles at him. Louis was cute, he had two brown puppy ears atop of his brown feathery hair, along with bright blue eyes.

Harry seemed fascinated by Louis, admiring how he had a tail and ears like himself. They quickly got along, leaving me, Zayn, and Liam to get everything set up for camping.

After a few hours we finally have our tents set up, along with dinner cooking over a small bonfire, that we had made.

Eating and chatting the day quickly left and we all became tired, and one by one headed into our tents. Harry would be staying with me, Liam had his own tent, not wanting to deal with any of us snoring or anything, and Louis would stay with Zayn.

Harry and I, got snuggled up in our sleeping bags and other blankets for the chilly night.

He seemed to quickly fall asleep, snoring quietly, and slowly inching his way closer to me in his sleep.

I watched him for a little while as he made his way over to me in his sleep. I decided not to mind for the night and just let him lay with me. Only because it was very chilly out though.  Finally he got to me and cuddled into my chest, I held him close enjoying the warmth he provided me with.

I felt calm with him in my arms, and the sounds of nature around us. Our heart beats being one of the few things I could hear. It almost felt 'meant to be' if we were being cliche.

I had a good feeling about this camping trip already, and I'm pretty sure Harry liked this camping trip so far too.
