Tom observed from the second floor's front window as the Knights appeared one by one at the castle's premises. He will let them all arrive before coming down to greet them, as there is more time for them to appreciate the castle that way. He could already see the awe in which Avery and Mulciber, who had arrived first, looked at the pristine château.

Even he had a similar reaction when he first saw the beauty of Peverell Castle.

______________

When he said he wished to acquaint himself with the castle before he contacted his Knights, who were not 'minions' (as if Tom would ever lower himself to name anything in association with himself like that), mind you, he did not expect Harrison to owl a request for an International Portkey to France of all places.

The Peverell name did originate from France, but it was long since they had fully moved to operate in England, so it was rather odd that they would even have a high-maintenance property there.

But upon arriving at the castle, Tom could only be impressed. While it was not a castle in the same manner Hogwarts was, and was more of a grand châteaux, it did put emphasis on the grand.

It was immaculately maintained, three stories of white stone and navy roofing tiles undamaged by weather or filth, tall windows sparkling clean. The grassy grounds were neatly cut and the flower beds near the entrance bloomed with fragrant flowers.

When he entered he was promptly greeted by what appeared to be two dozen House-elves and was approached by the head of staff, Linka, who was surprisingly eloquent while announcing her happiness over the Peverell Heir's presence at the Castle before giving him a tour of the castle's interior.

He found that the castle had an astonishing number of twenty-three bedrooms and seventeen fully-equipped bathrooms, seven lounges, six dining rooms, three ballrooms, two libraries(which he noted to check on a later date), two kitchens, and a huge dining hall.

The dungeons contained both ritual rooms, dueling halls, and potion laboratories.

It was truly a marvel that he would have to explore after his meeting with the knights.

He later found out from a talk with Linka that the Peverell Castle was a little less than two hundred years old and was built by the second to last generation of Peverells in France, and has been refurbished three times since by generations of House-elves who had limited access to the Peverell wealth for maintenance purposes.

When he traveled back to the Ipswich Cottage, he asked Harrison for permission to temporarily alter the castle's wards to allow his circle to safely enter the estate with copies of the Portkey he shall send them, and upon receiving a positive response, he set on to contact his knights.
