You were wrapped up in your cozy blanket on the couch when Sabrina had gotten home.

You have been sick and could hardly move, the house was just the same as she had left it, a mess. Of course, you don't mean to not do anything about it, you were just to sick to lift a finger and you were sure she would understand.

But not today.

Today, she was coming home from a bad day and her bad mood would prevent her from being understanding this time. This time, she would be more convinced that you're always sick and just using it as an excuse not to do anything. When Sabrina walked in, she was already ready to take out her mood on someone, and when she saw you on the couch watching tv, she took that opportunity while you were expecting her usual warm greeting.

"You can't keep doing this." she said.

Confused at first, you ask her what she meant.

"What do you mean?"

"Don't give me that, (Y/n)." she snapped.

You just look at her this time, causing her to sigh in annoyance.

"Why do you always have to be so lazy? I work hard, you know? The least you can do is give me a little help in house work, keeping the house clean. Is it really that hard?!"

So she was upset that you didn't clean the house, and from the way she was presenting that made you feel tears begin to prick at your eyes.

It was becoming more difficult to keep them at bay.

"I'm sorry, Sabrina. I haven't been feeling good today and-"

"Since when are you not feeling good? I can't believe you! No, I don't believe you!"

Is the last thing she says before walking away from you before you can say anything else.

You remain on the couch stunned, not believing what had just happened. After a few minutes, you couldn't help yourself from looking around and taking in on how messy the house did look. Deciding that this was something you wouldn't want to come to either, you fought against how you feel to get up and do some house work. As much as it hurt, you pulled through it, only wanting to make Sabrina happy.

Meanwhile, Sabrina was upstairs in your shared bedroom. After having calmed down, she thought about you and how she had treated you only moments before. She started feeling heavily guilty about and decided that she needed to go back and apologize to you for her behavior. It wasn't until by the time you had already done some housework that she was asking for did she come back to you. When she approached you, you were asleep on the couch wrapped in the cozy blanket again, almost like you never left. That's what she would have thought if it weren't for the dried tear stains on your cheeks that were very noticeable. The guilt she carried had doubled once she saw them, and that's when she got a closer look at you. The first thing that had caught her attention was seeing you shiver slightly, then taking notice in how pale your lips were. It was no question you were fighting a fever, and possibly something else alongside that.

After seeing you in this condition, Sabrina wanted to wake you and take you to the doctor to get checked on. At the same time, she didn't want to wake you. The worst thing about it was not knowing what was making you sick, it was the fact that she had made you cry. You had cried because of her. As these thoughts raced in Sabrina's mind, she didn't notice you waking up. At first, you were worried about what you couldn't get done and you begin to apologize for it.

"I know it's not much, but it's what I can do for right now. I can do the rest right now if you want me to." you say.

Sabrina was confused at first, then she realized you were talking about cleaning the rest of the house.

As you begin to get up, you were stopped by her hands resting on your shoulders, gently but firmly pushing you back down on the couch.

"No, no. You rest. I'll take care of it." she says.

"W-what?"

"Rest."

She placed a soft kiss on your forehead before removing her hands off you.

You waited for a moment, trying to decide if this was a dream or not as you watch her go to the kitchen, waiting for something to happen. Within a few moments, the silence would be broken by the sound of running water and clattering of dirty dishes in the sink. You couldn't help but find the background noises comforting.

You smiled to yourself in content.
