❂Chapter 2❂

Spending time with the teams is almost like being back at the studio. It's a comforting feeling, especially being with my brother again.

"How's the song coming?" Tanner peeks his head in Dalton's room where we're working on lyrics. Dalton glances up from his laptop and I look up from my notebook.

"It's a work in progress, ya know?" I respond rhetorically with a tired smile. Dalton notices my exhaustion and so does Tanner.

"How about we call it a night, Nor? Maybe invite some of the guys over for a movie night?" Dalton suggests, closing his laptop and setting his guitar on his bed.

"That good with you, Nori?" Tanner questions with a brow raised. He's always making sure I'm okay with things even when we were little.

"Yeah. Sounds like a great idea, Dalt." I grin at the two, handing the notebook to Dalton.

"I'll text Bam Bam, Baber, and Delano." Tanner states and walks off to his room.

"I'll invite Bill, DR, and Ryan." Dalton says and grabs his phone. I frown slightly at the lack of mention of a certain player. Dalton glances up at me and chuckles. "I'll text Jackson too, Nor. You two have been talking a lot at practice."

"He's sweet." I shrug while attempting not to blush. Attempting.

"You're blushing, Nor. You know, Jackson talks about you so much that he barely talks about Taylor Swift." Dalton says with a smirk, nudging my side playfully.

"Stop. You're kidding.." I dismiss, not believing my friend's words. Dalton rolls his eyes.

"Donny! Come here a sec!" Dalton calls out and a second later, Jared Donaldson steps into the room.

"Hey Norah. What's up, Dalt?" Jared asks after acknowledging my presence. Dalton smirks at me before looking back at Jared.

"Jackson barely mentions Taylor Swift anymore, right?" He questions and Jared smiles before responding.

"Yeah, he pretty much is always gushing about you, Norah. He's crushing on you hard." Jared confirms and leaves the room. I feel butterflies in my stomach at the confirmation and my face grows hot.

"Everyone said they'll be here in 15. Who'd you invi- Woah, what's up with Norah?!" Tanner cuts himself off as he notices my red face.

"Donny and I told her about Jackson talking about her more than Taylor Swift." Dalton laughs and Tanner chuckles as well."I invited DR, Bill, Ryan, and Jackson. They'll be here around the same time." Dalton adds on to his statement. I stand up to make my way to the guest bedroom where my things are.

"Nori, you okay?" Tanner asks softly as I pass by him. He looks worried, like he thinks they upset me with the teasing.

"I'm okay, T. I'm just gonna change before the guys get here." I assure my twin with a smile. Tanner nods before letting me continue on my way.

I sit on the couch wrapped in a blanket while waiting for the guys to get here. Noah went out with his girlfriend and Jared is making popcorn for the movie. Dalton and Tanner are collecting pillows and blankets for everyone. There's a knock at the door and Jared pokes his head out of the kitchen.

"Can you get that, Norah? I don't want the popcorn to burn." He asks quickly after not seeing either of his roommates.

"Yeah of course, Donny." I smile over at him and throwing the blanket off, then making my way to the door. I open it to see Delano, Bam Bam, Bill, and Baber. "Hey guys, come in." I say while moving to the side, allowing them in.
