Two weeks after Nigel had been liberated from the clutches of the Galactic Kids Next Door, Numbuh 362 decided to throw a welcome back party on the moon base, not knowing that Nigel wouldn't be feeling up to it
"Ugh, why do we have to go to this cruddy party again?" Wallabee asked with a hint of curiosity in his voice
"Well, Numbuh 4, since Numbuh 362 is throwing Numbuh 1 a welcome back party, she said that we have to go to, since we rescued him from those galactic assholes." Abigail said to Wallaby as she looked out the window, watching the empty void of space pass by in a flash
"Oh, well, I guess you're right." Wallabee said as he also looked out the window, and watched the empty void of space pass by in a flash
The trip to the moon base was silent, which made Nigel feel a bit uneasy, but he didn't show it, since he focused on telling Abigail something he's been wanting to tell her ever since he got back
Two hours into the party, Nigel was looking for Abigail, and when he saw her, she was talking to the newly reinstated Numbuh 274, or Chad Dickson, which made him cower in the bathroom, holding his head so he wouldn't cry, and he decided to sing a song that described that moment

"I am hanging in the bathroom at the biggest party of the week

Four hours later, it's time for everyone to leave, but before Nigel leaves, he turns to Numbuh 362 and says this to her
"Awesome party, I'm so glad I came" Nigel says as he walks out of the moon base with a wave, getting into the Kool Bus so Numbuh 2 can take him and the rest of Sector V home
After they get home, Hoagie, Wallabee, and Kuki immediately go to their rooms and fall asleep, leaving Nigel and Abigail alone in the living room
"So, I didn't see you during the party..." Abigail says this as she tries to grab Nigel's hand, but he pulls away, shocking her
"Nigel... Why'd you pull away?" Abigail asked curiously, wanting to know if she did something to upset her friend
Nigel just stays silent, tears starting to well up in his eyes, which instantly concerned Abigail
"Nigel, are you o-" before Abigail could finish her sentence, Nigel pulled her in for a kiss on the lips, which caught her by surprise, but she slowly but surely kissed back
After two minutes of the two kissing, Nigel finally pulls away, wiping away the tears in his eyes
"I-I wanted to tell you something at the party, but, when I saw you talking with Chad, my brain instantly thought the worst..." Nigel said shyly, burying his face in his hands
"O-oh, uh, what did you wanna tell me?" Abigail said with a light stutter in her voice, still slightly caught off guard by Nigel's sudden kiss
"W-well, I wanted to tell you this ever since I got back, so..." Nigel says as he takes a deep breath to psych himself up
"I-I like you, Abby. I like you more than a friend... It's ok if you say no I just needed t-" Nigel's sentence was interrupted by Abigail pulling him in for a kiss, which he gladly reciprocated, wrapping his arms around her waist
After 3 hours of them kissing, Abigail pulls away, grabbing one of Nigel's hands and holding it
"I like you, too, Nigel. I wanted to tell you that before you left, but I didn't get the chance to." Abigail says after a brief period of silence
Nigel couldn't believe it. His crush actually liked him back!
"So, does this mean you wanna be my girlfriend?" The British boy asked, gently squeezing Abigail's hand
"Yes, that's what I mean, Nigel." Abigail said with a slight chuckle, gently squeezing Nigel's hand as well
And, the night ends with the two sharing a kiss then going to their respective rooms to sleep
