As Ally and Trish search the lost and found Austin, Y/N and Dez search the Sonic Boom. Y/N was currently in the same area where Austin was before the two of them look over and see Dez sniffing every single piece of instruments that were in the store, including the counter. "What are you doing?" Austin asks walking over to Dez. "Using my superhuman sense of smell to find Ally's book."
Y/N laughs as she puts her head in one of her hands "That sounds dumb as hell." she whispers earning a nudge from Austin who she was standing beside. "You have a superhuman sense of smell? What food am I thinking of?" Austin asks while smiling. Dez moves closer and he smells Austin. "Cherry Pie. A la mode." Dez says and Austin laughs. "Wow."
Dez looks at Y/N who sighs "I can't believe I'm doing this... go ahead. Sniff me." she says and Dez sniffs her hair "Hamburger, with a side of Waffle fries." he says. "Woah." Y/N replied before Dez continued to sniff around the store.
Eventually his sniffing leads them up to the practice room. "Wait, Y/N. How come you don't have a personal book that you're keeping secret?" Austin asks.
"Oh, please. I ain't got nothing to hide. Even if I did have a diary or whatever, you wouldn't know about it, pretty boy." Y/N responds as she continues walking and eventually comes to a stop. "Ouch, brutal. And wait, you think I'm cute?" Austin replies. "Is that all you got from that whole conversation?" Y/N asks him.
Dez sniffed a few more things before walking over to the refrigerator. "Found it." he exclaimed. "Wow, your nose is amazing." Austin complimented. "No, I didn't smell the book. I just remembered I used it as a roof for my gingerbread house." Dez says.
Austin removes the book from the house "Why do you have a gingerbread house?" he asks. Dez frowns "What, you want my gingerbread man to live on the street?"
"No, I want him to live in my belly." Austin added before picking up the gingerbread man and biting the head. "Carlos!" Dez exclaimed once again. "Come on, let's go find Ally." Austin says before he and Y/N start to walk out. "It's a good thing we found the book and not some stranger who would see all the embarrassing personal stuff she wrote in her book." Dez says as Austin puts the book down.
"Totally. It's gotta be pretty juicy stuff too, or she wouldn't be so worried about somebody reading it." Austin says before he and Dez step walking and took steps backwards before glancing at the book. Y/N noticed that and she sighs. "It's gotta be pretty juicy stuff." Austin spoke as he and Dez eyed the songbook. "So juicy."
Austin sighs "What do you think?"
"It's not like Ally ever told us not to touch her book." Dez says. "Uh, yes she has. Multiple times." Y/N added in response to Dez's statement.
"Okay, what if we didn't open the book, but it accidentally got dropped on the floor and opened itself?" Dez suggests. "There you go." Austin agrees. Dez drops the book on the floor but instead of opening it stays closed.
Austin and Dez look down at the book at back at each other. "Okay, what if it got stuck to the ceiling with something sticky like jelly and we could see the pages from down here." Austin suggests and Y/N facepalms she was listening to their stupid suggests and she just wanted to give Ally her book back. "Yes." Dez replies to Austin. "Nah, that's crazy. What're we gonna do, go all the way to the store to get jelly? By the time we get back-" Austin goes to say but Dez cuts him off. "What do you need? I got grape, strawberry, boysenberry. I got some jam, a bunch of marmalades, some chutney." Dez says taking all of the jelly out of his backpack.
"This is ridiculous." Austin spoke up. "You're right, we should just read it." Dez takes Ally's book and he opens it. "No, I meant we shouldn't be reading her book at all." Austin tells him. "Best idea you've had all day." Y/N tells Austin.
"I can't stop now. This is some good stuff. It's all about some guy she has a crush on." Dez says and Austin leans down to read the book.
"Oh. Oh no, it's me." Austin says as his eyes widen. "Austin, I don't think-" Y/N goes to say but she gets shushed by Dez. "Ally's got a crush on me!" Austin says. "Shh! Don't spoil it. I'm a slow reader. Uh huh, uh huh. Whoa! Ally's got a crush on you!" Dez says jumping up and showing the book to Austin.
"I can't believe Ally has a crush on me." Austin says still processing the whole thing. "I can't believe I ate all that jelly." Dez adds.
"Don't get me wrong, Ally's awesome, but I don't feel that way about her. We're two different people. She likes pickles, I like pancakes. She likes reading books, I like having fun. I'm cool and collected and she chews her hair when she gets nervous." Austin says.
Austin went on about how he and Ally were extremely different Y/N was in her own world as she looked at her phone, obviously tuning them out. Dez looked over at her and back at Austin before he whispered. "But you know who is a lot like you..." Dez nods his head in
Y/N's direction. "What? No, I already know
Y/N's not interested in me and same for me with her." Austin says quickly.
"You never know. She might not have been writing about you." Dez tells Austin as he continues looking in the book. "Kind eyes. Hair that flops just the right way"? That's so me." Austin reads as he flips his hair.
"We work so close to each other... and yet we're so far apart." Dez reads. "And he smells like a fresh summer breeze." Austin read aloud before Dez lifted his armpit and sniffed him.
"Oh yeah, that's summery and breezy."
"And what is cooler than a guy named after a guy named after a city in Texas?"
"You're right. That's you, Austin." Dez says as Y/N overhears the conversation she leaves the practice room and goes back downstairs. Not long after, Austin and Dez come down after her.
"What am I gonna do? I don't want things to be all weird with me and..." Austin says to Dez who caught him off. "Ally!" Ally walks past Dez who stops in front of Trish.
"And Trish. I'm short, not invisible." Trish says. "No way, you found my book." Ally says to Austin. "Yeah, it was in the refrig-" Austin speaks before being grabbed by Ally on the back of his shirt. "I love you, I love you, I love you. I am so relieved. Let's go work on that new song for South Beach Sound. Come on, Y/N. You too." Ally says as she pulls Austin up to the practice room.
