Chapter 1

Your P.O.V-
Your name is (Y/N) (L/N). You're (your age :3) years old, you have (H/L) (H/C), and (E/C) coloured shiny orbs. You live by the beach, in a distance from it others would DIE for, but, for you, it proves to be quite a problem. You have a secret. A big one, at that.
You loved to swim. It wasn't just a "Oh yeah, I'll hop in the pool for a little bit" type of love, it was your LIFESTYLE. And your not-so-little secret sorta helped, but not really.
Let's face the music here. You were a mermaid. The whole shibang, too. Add just little water to your legs and BAM. Instant tail. The second your legs touched water, you could breathe and see underwater as well. You loved it. But you also hated it. It made swimming during the day awkward, and pool parties even MORE awkward. You always waited until no one was around to get in the water and swim. The coolest thing about your "power"? You could communicate with animals. Not just sea creatures, but all animals, big and small, land and sea. It's so cool.
Tonight was a nice night. Perfect weather. You decided to head out. And when I say head out, I mean, walk out your back door. That's how close you were to the beach. You slipped into your bathing suit and ran outside to the crashing waves. You took off your shoes and ran in, your legs slowly becoming a (F/C) fish like tail. You smiled and dove under, looking at the large drop off into the deep sea.
