31/07/??...What even is the date anymore?
"DEAR diary,
When sister was a wee one, she would sit on the cold frozen shore of Snezhnaya, kicking her feet along the ice like it was pure water. Then sister's eyes turned down, she focused down on the reflection which showed her. She grazed her fingers along the frozen crystals, chirping, "Sister! Why is the water so cold?" So naïve. Innocence which one should protect, not crush into ashes like they did to me. As I watched and answered her questions, wind lapped through the currents, threatening to tip us over like the trees which fell around us. She loved it, really, though I should've worried more than I did.
They grabbed her by her arm, threatening that if I didn't follow orders they would stamp her with blazing hot metal, marking her to keep her permanently in the Fatui. I cried, pleading to leave her alone but it only grew closer and closer to her neck. Finally, aware I couldn't protect both of us, I gave in. I laid on my knees in front of them, my e/c eyes glaring into the member who mockingly laughed at me. My stomach swirled, I hated it here.
The tall woman, whose figure was beautiful and toned, wrapped her hand around my wrist with a tight pressure, "Saviour your words, you shan't speak unless told to." She hissed, the words rolling off her tongue with a malicious intent. Her eyes burnt into mine, turning the life I saw as beautiful and kind into nothing but ugliness and the evil for this haven we called Teyvat...
Clenching my fists into a white ball, I raised my hand to punch the lady. Before I knew it, blood stained my tight knuckles and I was pinned to the ground. A foot stomped on my head, their voice yelling and telling me that if I kept up this behaviour I would be a dishonour to the Tsaritsa. But why should I care? She was a two-faced Archon anyway.
They threw us into a prison cell, my head drenched in blood and sister's face stained with fear. Whispers of our parent's deeds covered the halls, echoing and bouncing off the walls right into our ears. Thanks to their crimes, we had landed ourselves in danger. Because disobeying the Queen's orders was totally the rightful thing to do.
I spent days, hours, even weeks at times, just holding sister close. She sobbed into my chest, her wet tears causing my dirty shirt to become rain like soaked. A shiver crossed over me one time, when I was clenching her ever so tightly to me for warmth - It was proof that even the big sister and hero in this situation could be scared. As time drifted by, I heard the murmurs of guards clash through the cells.
"Hm, I heard the Knave wants to take them in."
"Why them? Aren't they considered an enemy to the Fatui?"
"Technically, no. Their parents were."
Heart pounding and threatening to escape from my tightening chest, I held my sister even tighter. I could tell by her subsided tears that she was relaxing, slowly falling into a slumber that I knew would end up with terrors and nightmares. Rocking backwards and forwards, I found my face buried into her hair, savouring the contact that was a comfort to me.
As time ticked, and the cold air brushed against our bare skin, sister's gentle snores turned into whimpers and sobs. My arms found their way to cradle her, my palm running gentle movements up and down her back until she eased back into her slumber. I truly wish it was that easy for me to sleep. I envy it, really.
Eventually, as time grew into a torment of lies and harsh words slapped across our face, we were faced with a tall lady. Her body curved into the perfect shape and her face was sternly written with determination. I felt my heart twist into a shape I didn't think was possible... was this fear I was feeling? I mean, I had gotten rather use to this environment... As she looked at me with her black eyes, with little red cross for pupils? I felt a shiver shake down my spine, my fingers tapping against my hip. Was this truly what little sis was feeling?
That exact woman crossed her arms over her chest, her long nails clicking against her forearm with soft slow movements, "I'll take them both." She murmured. Her figure swayed around before disappearing into the shadows. The guard's faces all sterned as they nodded at each other, and soon, they followed behind the lady. With my breath hitching, I turned around to look at my sister -- the girl was on the ground, scraping up dirt to make a pile. She grabbed a stick and placed it on the top. She drew her dark eyes to me and smiled... her teeth stained due to the lack of hygiene, "It's my birthday!" She chirped brightly.
It took every ounce of self control to not break down crying right then and there. Even then, I could feel a tear slip from my eyelid, down my cheek and off my chin. She pretended that the stick was her candle, that a little flame was sprouting off the end. I ran forward, my legs almost giving way as I did. In a flash, I had my arms wrapped around her and my face in the crook of her neck - crying, I said, "I'm sorry I can't give you a proper birthday this year, sister. I-I..." Choking on my own words, she guided her hands to my back to keep me stable, "It's okay! You're my big sister... you're all I need for my birthday! You're more than enough." And even through the hardships we faced... she still-
Smiled?

As she read out the page, her face stirred with disgust. A tear glided down her cheek as she punched the ground, ripping out the page as she did so. The snow howled, brushing up against her figure to send a chill down her spine, "Because of YOU TWO!" She yelled, drawing her finger to point at a gravestone, "We are suffering! Sister is sick, because of you two! I could possibly die because of you two! Thanks for being the best parents!"
She raised her fists, forcing them to punch against the stone. A pain rushed through her core as she flinched backwards, whining. She flew her hand in the air as blood rushed down her knuckles, "I hope that's what you feel..." She raised her arm to inspect the injury. Moving her fingers in a scissor like motion, she watched the crimson substance spill, "Pain..." She hissed, her gaze drawing away from the sight."But," She started, drawing herself off her knees and onto her two feet. She looked up at the sky... the weather seemed to calm down as the sun shined through, "Perhaps it was for the best. Still, sister is sick and I need to find a cure for her. I don't trust that Doctor to go near her..." She huffed, dragging her coat over her shoulders, "Maybe one day I'll see you two again. Probably not... I can only pray you are in deepest depths of the Abyss."
As she turned around, she spotted a large figure in front of her eyes, "Capitano." She muttered, drawing her vision to look at his masked face. He walked forward, his cloak following in the wind, "What are you doing here?" He asked, his eyes glancing back at her... but she couldn't see that, for obvious reasons."Talking to myself," She muttered, the lie rolling off her tongue. The man turned around to look at her before grabbing her arm. He looked at the blood which dripped from her knuckles. "You're hurt." He stated sternly, "I don't want a weakling attending me on this mission."
Y/N snatched her arm away, "Hey! Don't touch me without permission. Archons... I know what I'm doing. I- I'm just thinking... Let's get going."
