“It's a month away, I still have time.”
Always thinking there was enough time, was another hurdle the black haired possessed. The saying time is not a friend, doesn't faze her. She once again called for the automated lady, asking for a suitable wedding gift. And being the smart assistant it was, over tens of results popped up, she kept reading them aloud, gift after gift, until one finally caught Soomin's attention. Her sister was truly into history– the exact opposite of her and worked in a museum.
Getting her antiques sounded real nice and to top things up, the antiques shop was just a few minutes drive ahead.
Should she check it out? It sounds a bit stressful, she could lay in bed and order that right up and delivered to her front door step. “What do you think, Siri?” she had time, it was the start of the weekend and she felt like actually doing something other than work tonight.
“I should,” Soomin parked in front of the shop with an ancient carving on it. Its decor really complemented what they propose, home-y and a dark aesthetic. Maybe if she dropped by for a couple seconds, she could actually get a cute artifact to add as just another decoration in her room. “Yeah, sounds fun,” she heaved out a breath, taking her phone with too.
Soomin walked a couple steps in, pushing the door open and a little ding sound welcomed her. “Hello?” the black haired called, bowing when she noticed the elderly man behind the counter.
The place looked like it wasn't in this century, the only modern thing was the lighting system– which was only there to replace the actual fire the owner wanted.
The place was huge no doubt, with high shelves that made her wonder how they manage to get what's up there without creating an avalanche. It had all sorts of things, ranging from the fanciest jewelries, cutleries, brass, to ancient furniture, sparkling framed mirrors, mannequins with attires of different dynasties. Swords collections, armors, statutes, figurines.
It had an exciting eerie vibe, dark and mysterious.
Soomin browsed through every one, trying to pick which ones her sister might like best. Maybe paintings? Vases? She started picking out each one too good.
Yet, another problem. Being indecisive.
A small dark structure caught her attention, it was one of an emperor. What rare luck is this? Her sister is obsessed with men of honor, she would spend time reading historical fiction when they were younger, an entire shelf filled with different fantasy books.
She should definitely get her that.
Soomin kept the other choices on the old sofa. She reached for it, wiping the dust off its face. “Someone doesn't know what a shower is,” the black haired jest, her brows creasing when she noticed the eyes glowing red. “Is it supposed to do that?” she mused.
The light got brighter, engulfing her entire frame in it's crimson shade and bit by bit she dwindled, not even getting the chance to comprehend what was happening.
She just vanished.
