Jafar stood next to the genie. The two of them stared into the cavern. Stalactites and stalagmites grew out of its mouth and throat like teeth and there was an ominous moaning sound echoing off the walls.
"Alright babe, you've seen it," the genie said. "Let's go back."
Jafar shot the genie a look.
It had garbed itself like Hermes with a toga, winged hat and shoes, a caduceus, and those asinine rose-tinted eyeglasses.
"Nonsense," the sorcerer declared. "We are going in."
The genie whimpered.
Even Jafar hesitated.
Coward, a voice whispered.
Jafar stepped forward.
The reluctant genie followed.
The sorcerer was not a coward.
Not anymore.
